So according to this internal slide, the BlackBerry Bold 9780 may find its way to T-Mobile on November 17th.  As seen in the slide, it does say that this is an estimated time, so let’s not completely rely on this .  Either way, we’ve got a little ballpark going there, so I say we’ll see it the 17th or perhaps a few days after that – why not even earlier? Who knows.  We’ve all been excited for a BlackBerry Bold 97xx series to get BlackBerry 6 OS on it just because it’s a great light device and we’ve been well rounded with it for a long time.  It just isn’t the same on the Bold 9650 as many of you have noticed, so this is huge for many Bold fans.  Next up, we’ll hopefully be seeing 6.0 come to the 9700.

It looks like RIM has officially launched the all new SDK and simulator for the BlackBerry PlayBook, at last.  We were told about this back at DEVCON, and were curious to see how it would be first hand.  Now developers can stop drooling and start brainstorming as the SDK is officially out along with the simulator.

Aside from the SDK, I’m sure many of you are curious to see how the PlayBook is.  I know I am myself.  So click the link below to download both the SDK and simulator for the BlackBerry PlayBook or hit the jump for the full press release from RIM.

Great news for all you BlackBerry Torch owners who want to get in on some online mobile gaming.  A few days ago we let you know about Texas Hold’em King Live Beta available in App World for free, but there was no Torch support.  We just got word from BBCool that Magmic has now added the official support, so you can all get in on the fun poker game.

WordRival has gone through quite a few updates, and it seems very functional now with a lot less bugs.  For those who are unaware, WordRival is a replica of Scrabble, more like Words with Friends where you can play against multiple people at a time.  In this latest version 1.08, we see a leader board added in that makes it even more competitive.  In the last update we saw the built-in chat that allowed you to message your opponent.

Today’s application Deal of the Day isn’t a common one we usually see which makes it a better reason to grab a copy.  There aren’t that many good remote desktop solutions for the BlackBerry, but one that I found was pretty decent is RDM+.  Let’s face it.  The BlackBerry (most of them) have smaller screens, so you obviously won’t have that great effect you get on Android devices and the iPhone.  But the application does work smooth and really doesn’t lag much.  My favorite feature on RDM+ is the file browsing.  You can go through your C: drive and browse all sorts of documents and media, with the capability of downloading it.

Hit the jump to check out more features or click the link below to grab your copy of RDM+ 50% off today.

Still no sign of a 9700 6.0 leak just yet.  So for now here’s another BlackBerry Bold 9780 OS to keep your spirits there still as I’m sure we’ll be seeing something very soon.  I was not expecting to see the 9700 get any 6.0 updates before the 9780 launched officially, so since we’re getting close to that we should be seeing it.  In any case, if you have a Bold 9780 at hand now, you can go ahead and download the latest 6.0.0.294.  Below is four mirror downloads.

Google’s another one of those companies famous for putting out updates quietly without having a change log up, unless of course it’s something “revolutionary” in their eyes and adds a bunch of new features.  So last night  there was an update for Google Maps v4.5.1, and I can’t find any change log anywhere on any of their forums.  We’ll keep it as we usually do – drop us a line if you come across anything new.

It’s a little late in the day to mention, but I just noticed today’s game Deal of the Day went out to Aces Texas Hold’em.  Being that it’s one of the top downloaded games for BlackBerry, I figured some of you would want to know when it came on sale.  So you can save 50% on Aces Texas Hold’em today only making it $2.49 to purchase.  Here are some features:

  • Play up to 22 Hold’em opponents at a time.
  • Play 1 of 4 game speeds.
  • Display 3 opponents at a time (4 in landscape) with the ability to scroll for more players.
  • Incredible hi-res graphics.
  • Call out your opponents on “All-in” bets, or bet any amount!
  • Great sound with on/off option.
  • Shortcuts 1 – call/check, 2 – bet/raise, 3 – all in, and 0 fold.
  • The best AI to play and practice against.

Of course there’s more, but you can hit the link below to read more on it or to purchase it.
