Bubble Burst has just been added to the PocketBerry Store for free.  Of course there is a premium version and an ad based free one, which is what we’re showing you here.  Features in Bubble Burst include:

  • Four different game modes providing endless fun
  • Saves the highest score, average score and number of games played for each game mode
  • Fun popping sounds (can be turned off from the menu) – NOTE: Does not work on some devices due to OS issue
  • Undo last played move
  • Shapes mode (enabled from the menu during gameplay) which turns the colored balls into shapes; especially ideal for those that are colorblind.
  • Shake the device while playing to start a new game (only for Storm)

So decide which one you’d like, the free ad supported version or the premium ad-free version.  Both links are below but the game is still the same

Many were excited to see Hootsuite finally come to BlackBerry.  As it has just released in public beta and most of you have probably given it a test drive, we want to know the aftermath.  We ran it on Twitter real quick to see who was using Hootsuite for BlackBerry but figured this one deserved a poll since it’s been longed and waited for quite awhile.  So cast your vote in.  Are you using Hootsuite for BlackBerry?

More online gaming comes our way! We got word from Magmic Games that Texas Hold’em King LIVE Beta is at the BlackBerry App World for free as an open public beta.  The big deal here is that you can play online against other players.  That’s awesome.  Currently I indulge in WordRival which is similar to Words with Friends and Scrabble where I get to play online against real people.  That’s the next best thing for BlackBerry – online gaming against real people.  So we’re happy to see developers and game creators reaching out to what people like.

Included in the app is Pretzil support.  Back at DEVCON this year we let you know about Pretzil and actually had the opportunity to talk to the developers on what their API does and how it is integrated in quite a few famous BlackBerry game titles.

Texas Hold’em King LIVE is free at the BlackBerry App World right now since it’s in open beta.  Give it a download and see how you like it.

I already have BlackBerry 6 running on my Bold 9650, but it just isn’t the same as a 9700.  That is a big reason why I am partially excited for the BlackBerry Bold 9780 because it does rock the new OS and has double the memory.  In any case, this is a quick 3 minute clip taking you around the Bold 9780 seeing how everything generally works on it, OS-wise.

According to a hat tip over at BerryReview, the BlackBerry Bold 9780 is going to be launching on November 2nd at Bell Mobility in Canada. Devices are expected to roll out to retail stores around the 25th of this month.  We all know the general specifics of the BlackBerry Bold 9780 as it is just an updated version of the 9700 which doubles up in memory and has a better camera.  Hopefully once it launches we’ll b able to see BlackBerry 6 roll out for the previous 9700.  In any case, if you were wondering what comes in the box, here it is:

  • BlackBerry® Bold™ 9780 (black or white)
  • Micro USB cable (black or white)
  • Charger (black or white)
  • Stereo headset (3.5mm) (black or white)
  • Battery
  • Synthetic holster (black or white)
  • 2GB microSD card
  • Start Here guide
  • BlackBerry® User Tools CD
  • Safety Information booklet
  • SIM card

Sound pretty basic, and nothing out of the ordinary.  RIM does need to start including bigger memory cards with their devices though.  I say it should all be 8, 16, or 32GB memory cards.  Back the the device, November looks like a really promising month for several carriers to be rolling out the BlackBerry Bold 9780.  Let’s hope AT&T or T-Mobile picks this one up quick.
