I guess you figured from the title that Addictive Tower Defense is indeed addictive.  There’s plenty of tower defense games out for BlackBerry which are all good in my opinion.  Addictive Tower Defense was the first one I had and I continue playing it from time to time.  Features include:

  • Six very different maps included, with more maps downloadable for free
  • Multiple difficulty levels to challenge all types of gamers
  • Six exciting and powerful towers to destroy the enemy with
  • Multiple save points so you can return to any in progress game at your convenience
  • Compete on the online high score tables against other Addictive Tower Defense players
  • Fast-paced gameplay with early wave advancement and many attackers on screen at one time
  • Customizable holstering behavior for playing on the go
  • Up to 6x fast forwarding
  • Take screenshots from within the game to prove your tower defense skills
  • See a breakdown of the key statistics after each game to improve on your past results
  • Check the cost and reward of upgrading different towers from within the game

As a Deal of the Day special, you can grab a copy of Addictive Tower Defense for only $2.49.  The deal goes on for today only until midnight.

It looks like tomorrow is going to be RIM & Adobe’s third webcast covering BlackBerry PlayBook.  In specific, you’ll be seeing device integration for the PlayBook.  There are two more webcasts after this one, completing the five week series where you should have better direction of some sort as a developer afterwords.  Below is the schedule for the webcast:

This is totally based off my own opinion, and some of you may suggest that you don’t need them, or have other applications in mind.  Here I’m focusing on Google free applications that are provided on other mobile platforms, where BlackBerry has been left out.

Google Sky Maps

Well I’m not all that into astronomy, but Google Sky Maps is a really cool application to have.  It uses your GPS and displays the sky around you showing you where stars are located (it’s approximate but has been very accurate for me).  There’s different layers to enable and disable including constellations and planets.  Overall, it’s really entertaining for me to use.

Just in at the PocketBerry Phone Store today, I spotted that the T-Mobile Berry Bold 9780 is now officially available, ready to ship.  As you all know by now, our phone store does provide better deals on BlackBerry smartphones than the direct carriers themselves.  So you’ve seen T-Mobile put out the Bold 9780 for $129.99, where you can get it from the PocketBerry Phone Store for only $99.  Both colors are available to get it in (black and white).

The $99 offer is only for new lines.  If you’re looking to upgrade, you’ll have to dish out an additional $50, totaling at $149.99.

This one’s a leaked video, nothing like we saw from the Adobe event.  Here we see raw footage of the BlackBerry PlayBook hands on, going in and out of applications and seeing all of its dimensions.  I guess some private beta units are roaming around or someone on the inside recorded something they weren’t supposed to..

Just as promised, the BlackBerry Bold 9780 has made its way to the US for T-Mobile.  It comes in two different flavors – black and white.  You can grab a Bold 9780 online today for only $129.99 after the online instant discount is applied on a two year strings attached contract.  Otherwise, be prepared to dish out $449.99 for the device with no contract.

Now let’s see who’s up next in carriers – AT&T perhaps?

Riz continues again with another video – this time bashing the iPhone with its famous “death grip” where reception fails once held in the hand. So far, I’m finding Riz’s videos really entertaining and strongly believe are good to circle around your friends stuck on Apple products, or even just for a good laugh.
