Earlier this morning RIM posted on their blog about their latest acquisition of TAT (The Astonishing Tribe), which specialize is mobile user interfaces.  In this joint effort, TAT will be putting in what they know for UI enhancements in the BlackBerry PlayBook and also smartphone platforms as stated.

This goes back to DEVCON this year where we had confirmation that RIM would be integrating QNX into their mobiles.  So now we’ll perhaps be seeing that along with TAT’s effort in the user interface.  On a shorter note, the BlackBerry PlayBook is expected to make its big debut first quarter of 2011 so we’re definitely excited to see what’s to come of it with the acquisition of TAT.
