What a coincidence! We just rolled out our BlackBerry Pearl 3G review today with 6.0 on it, and now we see a later version leak out. This is OS 6.0.0.418 for the BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100 and 9105. As you may have noticed, it’s the same version as we’ve seen today for both the Bold 9700 and Curve 3G 9300. If you currently have a Pearl 3G at hand, check out this build as I’m sure it’ll be a lot smoother that the last 6.0 with all its memory leaks.

This is OS 6.0.0.418 for the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300. Below are some download mirror you can grab a copy from. Enjoy!

Something I was wondering about a bit before download BlackBerry News Feeds was if we would be able to use our Viigo accounts to get all the feeds we were previously subscribed too. It looks like Ronen from BerryReview has spotted the way to do so which is a big relief for many, including myself as my feed list is quite large. Here’s the step by step instructions:
- Open BlackBerry News Feeds Beta
- Go to Add Feeds
- Hit the BlackBerry button and select Import Viigo Subscriptions
- Enter in your Viigo username and password
- Check the box next to any subscription you wish to Import from your Viigo account

Although the BlackBerry Pearl 3G was originally announced at WES earlier this year, it only recently came to AT&T in the United States. I won’t speak for everyone, but I was very excited to see a new generation Pearl launch with enhanced specs, and as we now know – supporting BlackBerry 6 OS. I spent the last month testing the BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100 full time, just to see how it suits me as I have become used to the Torch for a little while now. Hit the jump for our full review.

So the BlackBerry Bold 9700 is getting a lot of buzz as far as 6.0 leaks go. At one point we couldn’t wait to see it leak out, and then it was a matter of time until they would just rapidly come out as they are now. This is 6.0.0.418 for the BlackBerry Bold 9700. It’s a leaked version so download and install at your own risk.
I’m personally seeing that the Bold 9700 builds are getting better and better – how about you guys? Mirror links available below!

It’s been a while since we heard of saw anything from Dropbox for BlackBerry, other than it officially launching at last. So here’s an update Collin spotted on the Dropbox forums over the weekend. The latest update as shown when downloading is version 1.0.37. Below is the full change log:
- saving non-ascii texts results in garbled text
- handling of edge cases when running out of space on sd card and in device memory
- open-edit-upload usecase wasn’t working for devices with encryption enabled
- share link freezes for some users
- open-edit-upload usecase fails for files with non-ascii filenames
- “would you like to allow logging” dialog shouldn’t appear on first launch
- on rotatable devices, in image gallery, the displayed/cached image is smaller than screen size (shouldn’t happen)
- app should ask for permissions in advance on first launch
- app should support multiple third-party app associations for a given file type (e.g multiple pdf viewers)
- music/video stops when screen fades out
- user gets a “not enough room to write file” message when trying to open a file that’s already open in docs2go

It is the holiday season and for that reason RIM has put out three nice themes (free of charge) in celebrating the holiday season. These three themes are exclusively from RIM, as we’ve seen them put out the DEVCON theme during the event itself back in September. The one above is one of three you can grab free from App World. Click the links below to be forwarded to each one.

It’s pretty much expected that when a new OS or platform launches, themes will start rolling out to replicate them. Hedone Design has gone ahead in launching the GoPlay theme for BlackBerry, which is a theme based on the BlackBerry PlayBook. I think a great job was done here with all the multi-tasking looking windows up top with the one row of icons below.
In the theme you get Frequent and Favorite tabs on the very bottom, not the whole 9 yards that many of you prefer not going through such as Downloads. Then up top you have locked icons including Messages, BBM, Browser, and More.

So we’re going to start off this week of BlackBerry news but letting you know about a new application from RIM. We just got the word that RIM has launched a beta version of the new BlackBerry News Feeds application. The application is made to fetch all your RSS news all in one app. You’ll be able to easily share articles with contacts, friends, and family all within the app as it should be integrated well with the OS. I expect to see some Universal Search action as well so I can easily locate a specific RSS post.

UberTwitter has updated once again, this time to version 1.114 addressing some issues people were having before. Some of you may not have seen any errors. I personally had issues sending to Facebook before, and according to the change log, that bug was fixed. Below is the full change log of version 1.114
- Detection and reconnection to Facebook prior to sending a tweet
- Facebook send error detection Much better detection of errors and reporting to the user if the post to facebook fails
- Manual refresh Fixed a bug where selecting ‘refresh’ from the menu didn’t always kick off a refresh
- Timeline not refreshing Fixed a bug where the timeline would not refresh and large amounts of CPU would be used causing battery drain
