So Rogers went on with a tease for the audience of the BlackBerry PlayBook at Canadian event TabLife. I like this PlayBook demo a lot. While watching this clip, I realized that the PlayBook being demonstrated here seems to be a lot faster in motion when switching between menus and such. Here in the video we see more multi-tasking action which is the BlackBerry PlayBook’s biggest feature here.
As you know, Rogers announced yesterday that they will be launching the PlayBook early 2011.

So more buzz has surfaced on the BlackBerry PlayBook today other than the Rogers announcement this morning. There’s no official word here but a representative from WIND Mobile stated on video that they are working hard on getting the BlackBerry PlayBook to offer to their customers in 2011. So I guess it’s a bit of excitement for Canadians, but we’d like to hear what US carriers will be carrying the PlayBook as well. Our assumptions will of course be the GSM carriers AT&T and T-Mobile, but there’s no telling if both will get it to begin with.
Back to WIND Mobile, it looks like they’re reaching far out for the next year in best efforts to put out the best devices as they have mentioned Android devices and do carry BlackBerry at the moment now, recently launching the BlackBerry Curve 3G.

Music WithMe has just updated to version 1.4 addressing some complaints from the user end. For one thing, download speeds were a bit sluggish at times when trying to get all your music on your device. Now with version 1.4, the speeds have increased and I’m actually seeing a difference here. Also the amount of playlists you can sync has been increased as well. If you already purchased Music WithMe, you can head over to App World to update it or hit the link below to purchase.

So earlier yesterday morning, it was officially announced that RIM acquired TAT (The Astonishing Tribe), which is a user interface company that specifically deals with mobiles. After spending a full day of analyzing different videos and demos that TAT has put out, I’ve become really excited to see what’s to come of BlackBerry OS in the future.
In the announcement this morning, we were briefly informed that TAT will be putting in their efforts for the BlackBerry PlayBook and mobiles. The PlayBook is expected to launch in first quarter of 2011 (we’re expecting it at the very end if that) and no word on any new mobiles rocking out any new OS on it besides 6.0.

Earlier this morning at Rogers TabLife event in Canada, the BlackBerry PlayBook was brought up. Unfortunately there was no breaking news here at all, but it was nice to hear that Rogers announced that they will be launching the BlackBerry PlayBook early next year. No specific date or pricing was discussed. It’ll be a matter of time until we see other mobile carriers get in on the PlayBook.

Usually we see 50-65% off on Deal of the Day specials, but today we’re seeing a high 85%. Today’s Deal of the Day goes out to Ace Email Viewer, which changes the way you view your emails. Surely we have HTML capability now, but Ace Email Viewer promises to display emails as they would natively on your desktop showing images, smileys, colored text, backgrounds, etc. I personally haven’t tried this application before, but some of you might find interest in it. It looks more like older BlackBerry devices might want this, I don’t really see the need for it on my Torch. Hit the jump for the features list, or hit the link below to grab a copy or read more information there.

As a holiday special, Xobni is only $1.99 for a limited time, saving you $8. For those unaware, Xobni is a great contacts tool that includes the following features:
- Automatically created profiles for every person with whom you’ve ever communicated. Complete with photos, contact info, recent emails, calls, texts, info from LinkedIn/Facebook and more.
- Ranked by importance. The people you communicate with the most are at the top.
- Lightning fast search by name or company name shows each person’s profile.
- Instant access to all your Xobni Contacts in the BlackBerry compose screen.
So if you’re looking to get a great deal on Xobni, now’s the time to get a copy as the holiday season brings great deals such as this one. I have personally been using Xobni for about a year now and find that it is the best way to keep track of contact info, effortlessly.

It’s been awhile since we posted anything about Colorware, but it appears they have added the BlackBerry Bold 9780 to their list of “compatible” devices. It’s the same thing as the Bold 9700 any way, so it’s not that serious. But the device is listed on there and you can certainly customize your whole housing today right from the website.
Note: The customization above is completely random just to show the wide variety of colors available at Colorware
Thanks Ehab for sending this in!
