Here’s a just for fun application I spotted this morning at the PocketBerry Store. It’s called Boo! because it is intended to scare your friends and people around you by surprise. You’ve seen these pranks online before where you stare hard at a photo and then something scary pops up on the screen. Boo! for BlackBerry is the same thing. It’s free to download so click the link below to grab a copy.

The BlackBerry Tour 9630 follows the lead of the Storm 9530 with the same OS leak at the same moment. This one is also 5.0.0.1041, being the latest unofficial OS for the Tour. On a quick side note, one of the last Tour OS updates we posted up, I did recall seeing some 6.0 release date questions in the comments. To quickly take care of that, there is no 6.0 for the Tour so stick with these later builds of 5.0 to stay up to date.

The long lost and forgotten original BlackBerry Storm 9530 just got an OS leak. This one is 5.0.0.1041, catching up with a lot of other devices still carrying 5.0 as their latest and greatest. Updates are going to continue rolling out for the Storm a little while longer regardless of how little we do see them around. But for those of you who do have a Storm, you might want to check this OS out as it might work more stable than what you already have.

Different fonts other than what’s already available on BlackBerry isn’t really something I’ve ever looked into. Vicky over at BerryReview spotted a 99 cent application that provides a bunch of new fonts which are not available on BlackBerry out of the box. It’s really easy to use and has an awesome UI to browse all the fonts where you install them with a single click. I haven’t tried the application yet but I think I’m going to give it a go to switch up my fonts a bit.

I’m not going to get into what Newegg is as it as assumed that most of you are familiar with the site. In any case, they have launched an official mobile application for BlackBerry making it easier to browse products, reviews, and of course purchase them if desired. It’s definitely a great alternative to hitting up the mobile site every time you need something since applications make it that much easier and faster to move around with. The app is free at App World.

Here’s an app I spotted as a new on in our app store called Daily Panchangam. It’s a free Hindu daily calendar where I’m not so familiar with it at all. There’s not much in the description of the application, but I figured I’d give you guys the heads up on the app for those who could make use of it. If you do end up using it, hit us up with key features and pros/cons of the app so we can update our post here.

Last week we let you know about a new AIM app that supported Facebook Chat as well as another app called FaceChat which are both free. I’m not sure if this one used to be premium or that it’s just a new one. Chat For Facebook is available at BlackBerry App World for free to download. I’m not sure which apps are the best for Facebook Chat but I do recall it being a premium BlackBerry application at some point but now the free apps are emerging.
UPDATE: Chat For Facebook used to be premium and is now free as we weren’t sure before.
