Luis from BerryReview spotted an awesome just for fun application based on the light saber from Star Wars. When the iPhone first launched, the light saber app seemed to be such a big deal and many were intrigued by it. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, the app doesn’t better our lives in any way shape or form. But it is an awesome application for being fun and of course free. It currently supports touch screen devices only so that brings it to the Torch and Storm only.
Spend your Christmas Eve with family having light saber fights why don’t you! Click the link below to download over the air. Special thanks to StormGrounds for developing the app!

The BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet Webcast series wrapped up successfully a couple of weeks ago. The series consisted of 5 weekly web series aimed to show developers the new features available for them to make BlackBerry apps for the PlayBook.
Developers were proactive in their involvement with the web series and provided hundreds of questions for the BlackBerry Development Team to answer. Although they did not have time to answer all the questions posed, they are making valiant strides to continue answering these questions in their blog and forum. They also encourage developers to keep posting questions on their forum.

I don’t really use the Google Mobile application, but Ehab let me know that he had an update for it earlier this morning, but no change log of course. It’s a rare occasion where we see change logs from Google. The only time we see them is when major changes and enhancements are in place but bug fixes and things of that nature are never stated in writing. If any of you who use the app spot any changes, keep us in the loop!

For all you on the Telus network in Canada enjoying the BlackBerry Bold 9780, spam is on the way! It may not be spam to many, but I hate that there are so many stock apps and weblinks that get forcefully pushed to my Torch for AT&T. Telus customers are going to have a little taste of that as we speak now with Yellow Pages app pushed to your Bold 9780′s at the moment. Has it reached out to any of you yet?
