Imagine Chatroulette on the BlackBerry PlayBook
by Collin Sorp
Mac posted earlier on Skype for the BlackBerry PlayBook and its video chatting capability. I’m not so sure if my mind’s in the wrong place or not, but a Chatroulette application would be quite funny to have. I actually think that a lot of users would download it and it would certainly make its way in the top 10 apps in App World.
Back to reality, I hardly doubt RIM would approve of an application like that. But wait… doesn’t the BlackBerry PlayBook support Adobe Flash? The same Flash that Chatroulette uses? So does it make sense that we’d be able to use Chatroulette on the PlayBook using the native web browser?
There’s no telling if the Chatroulette interface will detect the front face camera on the PlayBook. It seems like the PlayBook cameras only work directly with apps that assign to it. On PCs and Macs we get prompted with an accept or deny when the webcam is requested to be activated or used.
Again this is all just a rant and nothing near reality, but the thought of Chatroulette on the PlayBook is quite funny.
