There’s a lot of weather applications to choose from for BlackBerry.  The most popular one is BerryWeather which is a premium application by BellShare.  This one called ShowMe! Weather gives you basic weather stats and forecasts.  Features include:

  • Desktop Weather Icon with current temperature
  • Track the weather in multiple global cities/locations
  • User defined temperature scale (Celsius or Fahrenheit)
  • User defined weather locations
  • User defined update timing (30, 60, 180 min, etc.)
  • Weather provided by Google

Since the application is free, it is ad supported.  For all you haters, just buy an application and it won’t come with ads.  Otherwise enjoy the freebie from the developer!

The objective of the game is to stack as many balls as possible with matching colors to gain points.  The ball moves across the board, then you’ll have to click when you want it to fall down into the specified row.  To clear balls, you have to get 3 matching in a row either horizontal, vertical, or diagonal.

Tweeker has just launched for BlackBerry and is now available in the PocketBerry Store, both premium at 99 cents, and free which is probably ad supported.  Tweeker loads up fast in a pop up window format where you type your tweet in and send it out publicly right there on the spot.  Forget having to load feeds up from Twitter then scrolling to where you can type and sending there.  Tweeker gives you an easy to use interface.

Rock Band Reloaded has just launched for the BlackBerry! I’ve been playing this on iPad for sometime, and was wondering when Bplay would extend it to the BlackBerry.  Included in this game you’ll play songs by Billy Idol, Nine Inch Nails, and Nirvana.  There’s four different ways to play over three levels.  Songs such as “Hungry Like a Wolf” and “Kryptonite” are included just as it is in the Rock Band you play over XBox or PS3.  There’s three difficulties: Easy, Medium, and Hard.  Also check out the extended Tour Mode and score up to 150 achievements on your way to total rock stardom.

It’s that time again! I just spotted on the BlackBerry Developer’s Blog that two BlackBerry Developer Days are coming up.  One’s local in Atlanta, and other is abroad in Dubai.  The one in Atlanta is marked for January 18th, 2011 while the one in Dubai is in the end of the month on the 26th.  Here’s a stock description of the events from RIM:

Whether you’re new to mobile applications or an experienced developer, BlackBerry Developer Days are designed to give you the tools and know-how to successfully create and market apps on the BlackBerry platform. Experts will take you through the latest technical platform advances and market opportunities for your apps.

Also, if you’re interested in learning more about the new BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet, a session on developing Adobe® AIR® applications for the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet will be new to the agenda for upcoming dates.

Are you an AT&T customer? Well I am.  With that said, I am not happy with their service at all.  Over the last several months, there has been “tower issues” in my area according to the carrier and that’s why my calls drop.  In fact, my 3G has dropped to EDGE, then GPRS, then GSM a few times lately. Let’s face it.  AT&T really is a lousy company.  They were voted to worthy of that title in late 2010.

AT&T does deliver the BlackBerry Torch 9800 exclusively, and I am a huge fan of the device, but just can’t stand their service.  They’re pretty on point with their devices I believe, but between customer care, 3G, and just overall reception, it blows.
