Something really interesting to see is how BlackBerry smartphones are currently getting equipped with NFC.  We know that devices this year are coming with NFC chips built in, but we did not know of any plans of NFC add-ons to existing BlackBerry devices.  We even got to hear RIM speak on the subject a bit from MWC 2011. The folks over at BGR got a screenshot showing that the application Mobile Wallet is being tested by Bank of America for the BlackBerry Curve 8520/8530, BlackBerry Bold 9000/9650/9700, and BlackBerry Tour 9630.  None of these devices have NFC chips built in obviously so Bank of America is sending these private beta testers a battery cover and microSD card making your BlackBerry support NFC.  Pretty cool.

Have any of you developers gotten on the NFC SDK yet?  We’re excited to see how creative applications will get now.
