RIM let us know that the BlackBerry Analytics Service is now available worldwide to developers as a beta program.  The BlackBerry Analytics Service is powered by Webtrends. This service allows developers to simply integrate tracking into the developers applications.  It leaves the developer info about how their applications are being used. The information being collected is anonymous but detailed.

Some of the Analytics that developers can follow:

  • overview metrics showing active users, new users, frequency of use, engagement in duration and depth of use.
  • detail in usage of screens, content, media, features, in-app search/ads
  • user information including country, language, device, characteristics, carrier, connection type and errors.
