Superheroes Alliance is a free BlackBerry game for BlackBerry and is completely text based.  Think of it like the Oregon Trail, only not exactly that, and better in my opinion.  In this game you’ll be able to fight villians, save lives, get sidekicks, and even build your own empire.  Putting together your character is the funnest part in my opinion.  Here are some features of Superheroes Alliance:

Here’s another video RIM has put out about how professionals use BlackBerry.  In this clip we see doctors and nurses over at UPMC Mercy Hospital using BlackBerry and how they use it for patient responses and to communicate with one another.

I’m not sure what’s new in this version, and I haven’t encountered any bugs in the last 1.9.66 official update.  I guess Foursquare is working on more here and users are probably having on going issues if updates are coming out this rapid.  So here’s v1.9.72 of Foursquare for BlackBerry.  Keep in mind it is an alpha release and not the final.

RIM has announced free code signing keys for the BlackBerry PlayBook and smartphones today.  In the BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK, you’ll be able to sign the apps you build (with the latest version).  You can download the latest version here to get the ball rolling.

To start signing applications, make sure you register with the RIM Signing authority by filling out their web form.  It is free but RIM holds $1 on a credit card to verify it is valid.  You get your buck back after your credit card company processes the transaction.  Not so sure what that’s all about but that’s what’s required.   You can read more about it at the BlackBerry Developer’s Blog.

Not everyone is on BlackBerry 6 OS yet, but the numbers are growing, and devices such as the BlackBerry Bold 9700, Curve 3G, and Pearl 3G are getting on the 6.0 wagon as well.  RIM emailed us a list of great tips for navigating around the OS in the browser and in applications that could come handy.  There are tips for both touchscreen and non-touchscreen devices.  Continue reading for the full list of tips.

Shuffleboard is a popular bar and Dave & Buster’s game that is now available on your BlackBerry.  Some of you may never have heard of it before in the past, and I personally played it for the first time at WES 2010.  It’s very fun and definitely addictive (not just saying that).  The game works on touchscreen BlackBerry devices only, so that covers the BlackBerry Storm (1 & 2) and the BlackBerry Torch 9800.  It’s $1.99 to buy.

Once again, WhatsApp Messenger goes through another update, this time to v2.6.1804.  We’re happy to see that there’s actually an add on this time.  So besides a bunch of bug fixes, we also get group chat option in the application, so it’s just like BBM!?
