As expected, more applications are leaking out from this OS 6.1 build over at BBH.  This one’s BlackBerry Radio v1.0.0.34.  We saw it available in Beta Zone before, and things have been a little quiet since.  If any of you feel like taking a swing at the app, let us know how it is.

BlackBerry News Feeds v1.1.0.12 just got ripped out of an OS from a BlackBerry 9850/9930. Before downloading, keep in mind that this app is intended for OS 6.1 devices.  With that said, you’ll need to download a file that will bypass the BlackBerry ID requirement (don’t forget).  I’m still in the process of trying this bad boy out now as we speak.  OTA link available below.  You’ll need it to download a lot of the leaks for OS 6.1.

Another nice tip/rumor over at BGR we saw along with the Monaco/Monza photos is that we’ll hopefully be seeing some nice BlackBerry devices announced at BlackBerry World in May.  The devices rumored to be announced by RIM are the BlackBerry Bold Touch, Curve Touch, Monaco/Monza, and Torch 2.  That’s a lot more than what we had last year at WES 2010, as we really only saw the Pearl 3G and the Bold 9650.

It makes sense to me if RIM decides to unveil all these devices officially – just seems like an appropriate time to do so especially with all the leaks we’ve seen on all devices over the last few months.  Which device are you excited to see?

We saw the quick half a minute clip of the BlackBerry Monza/Monaco before, but it wasn’t that clear and was too much of a tease.  BGR got some nice photos up of the device showing off the device and a glimpse at OS 6.1.

The Monza is supposedly the T-Mobile version as we heard at the “See BlackBerry Different” event by T-Mobile.  The Monaco seems to be CDMA, targeted towards Verizon, and maybe even Sprint.  More pictures after the jump!

Zillow has been around on iOS for quite a while from what I remember.  I recall seeing both regular consumers and actual real estate agents sporting this app.  Consumers would use it just to check out house prices in general as it’s so easy to use.  You plug in the address and it will show the value of the house, what the residents purchased it for, when they did, and a bunch of other info.

We haven’t seen anything on tethering to the BlackBerry PlayBook until now.  Kevin at CrackBerry posted up some screenshot steps exemplifying how to tether your smartphone to the PlayBook.  Mentioned in the post is that you do not need a BlackBerry smartphone to tether, as other branded smartphones work as well.  The setup consists of selecting your service provider and entering APN information with the correct user name and password for it.  After that, you’re good to go.

I’m sure you all heard about it by now, but I figured we’d clarify it for those still in la-la land.  Just as we expected, RIM never announced BBM coming to iPhone on April 26th at a social media event in Toronto.  In fact, RIM co-CEO Jim Balsillie never spoke at any event in Toronto to begin with.  This was simply a fictional story that started out by a forum post, and evolved into being a rumor all over the web.  We got an email from RIM saying it as it is:

This story appears to be a hoax. RIM did not hold a conference in Toronto this week and Jim Balsillie did not speak at any event in Toronto this week.

And there you have it.  Does it mean BBM will never coming to iOS? I’m not saying that, but there was no announcement made by RIM, and I’m sure we would of heard all about it by now if that was the case.

We just let you know about Fancy Characters for BlackBerry being on sale, today being the last day.  If 99 cents still seemed to rough for you, there’s still light at the end of the tunnel.  Collin let me know that there’s another free application called Text Smiley.  I haven’t gotten a chance to try it, but the description does promise “enough predefined faces.”
