Even though we got a nice hands on with the BlackBerry PlayBook a few weeks ago, which isn’t too far from the April 19th launch date, RIM has implemented some nice new features still.  Kevin over at CrackBerry got a nice hands on with the native calculator and weather apps, both looking really good.  Hit the jump to check out both videos.

As you can see in the calculator application, we get a little bit of some “TAT” looking effects with the sheet of paper animating down in front of you.  It’s just a simple calculator application, but RIM made it really well here which makes it exciting to check out first hand.

The native weather app for the PlayBook is AccuWeather on the backend as mentioned in the video.  It’s pretty much standard here, check out the weather for the week or individually with options, and of course the you get the drop down menu from above for more.
