I can’t really be mad at the fact that some of you out there are getting frustrated with the delayed launch of the BlackBerry PlayBook. Patience can only go so far when a tablet is announced in September 2010, and here we are in March 2011 with nothing but teasers and public hands-on with it. A friend of mine has been waiting alongside with me on the PlayBook to launch and we both were in the same boat of owning the first generation iPad and decided we’d wait for the PlayBook. I’m still patiently waiting but he has gone ahead and purchased the iPad 2, losing faith in the PlayBook’s launch. So that got me wondering as to how many other folks out there have lost faith in the BlackBerry PlayBook and have decided to go with an iPad to other tablet.

One too many updates going on in such a short period of time! I guess it’s a good thing that the developers are on top of their game making sure the app is tip-top. No change log on this one, but WordPress for BlackBerry did have an update previously to version 1.4.6.1. It looks like this small jump to version 1.4.6.2 consists of small bug fixes, as there is no change log. You can download the latest version of WordPress for BlackBerry from App World.

It seems like a bad time for carriers to start picking up BlackBerry devices since RIM is going to be launching new devices soon. I guess you can’t really go wrong with devices like the BlackBerry Curve 3G which is a basic (starter edition in my opinion) device at an affordable low price. MTS has announced they are launching the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 on March 31st, and yes it will have BlackBerry 6 preloaded out of the box.

For a while I’ve been wondering if CoTweet would ever hit BlackBerry smartphones, and this morning I found out as BerryReview spotted its presence in App World. CoTweet is a social media tool specified for corporates to manage their Twitter conversations which allows multiple Twitter accounts all in one app. For some odd reason, the screenshot in App World displays “Inbox for iPhone” – not so sure what that’s all about. If any of you have CoTweet accounts, let us know how the experience is on your BlackBerry and please explain what the Inbox for iPhone is all about

Angry Farm for BlackBerry has once again gone through an update. It looks like this version also has bug fixes and improved performances as the last one. It’s still not perfect yet, but I’m sure there’s only so much they can do with the BlackBerry to make it run as fluid as Angry Birds does on iOS or Android.
Angry Farm is a BlackBerry version (knock-off) of Angry Birds, which is what we’ve been craving since the game launched. You can purchase Angry Farm for only $4.99 from the PocketBerry Store.

I have lost hope in a March launch to be honest. RIM is really dancing around in circles on this one, and they really just need to launch their tablet already. We’ve been seeing it for months and the hype has been built up, then the iPad 2 and several other tablets launched. For those who don’t remember, there was a rumor that RIM was still set for a March launch on the BlackBerry PlayBook. Now we’re seeing a March date surface again March 27th to be exact according to this anonymous flyer.

We got a quick glimpse on Desktop Manager connected to a PlayBook in a previous promo video from RIM, but here we see it clearly, and get a full media sync demo with the PlayBook. And the advantage of any Apple product? You can use your PlayBook will it syncs. Try doing the same with an iPhone or iPad (fail).
Once again, a PIN does surface here for the PlayBook when connected to Desktop Manager. We still don’t have a straight forward explanation on them and their purposes but I’m sure we’ll see more on it some time soon.
Back to the media sync, it looks really easy to use, and I think people might use that over the whole clicking and dragging function right to the folders in the memory (as USB mass storage). Will you use Media Sync for PlayBook?

Crash Balls for BlackBerry comes in both a premium and free edition. This way if you like the lite version, you might want to get the premium version and support your developer! So Crash Balls is pretty easy to pick up and learn. You have to stack as many balls as possible, matching them in color to gain more points. You have to get three in a row or more to have them eliminated which gains you points. This free version is ad supported, so if you’d like to do away with the ads, purchase the premium.
