We already saw Kaspersky launch for BlackBerry, and now another anti-virus joins the club.  This one’s called NetQin which protects your BlackBerry from viruses, spyware, and malware.  Here’s the stock description:

Featured in the Anti-virus is the availability of scanning and deletion, with Cloud Computing Technology and real-time protection. Also included is a new Anti-lost feature that helps to locate the phone and protect privacy once stolen or lost. The full cross-server contacts backup system also provides full protection for users’ data.

The app seems to be in free open beta at the moment, and it looks like the desktop files are available to be downloaded with no OTA for now.

A big question remained within T-Mobile customers after the merger – will costs for plans go up?  It looks like AT&T has addressed that at CTIA as IntoMobile got word that the company is keeping T-Mobile’s pricing structure.  That does go two ways though.  They could mean that T-Mobile will remain on its own as it is now and keep its pricing, or that AT&T will be taking on T-Mobile’s great plan deals, or even a nice way of saying former T-Mobile customers will have their plans grandfathered.

The BlackBerry PlayBook was officially announced yesterday, and pre-orders went up all over the web.  From the long list of retail locations carrying the tablet, I figured a pre-order may not have been so necessary, but that’s just a quick thought.

We want to know how many of you actually went ahead with pre-ordering, and who’s actually waiting on the device.  If you’re browsing on your computer or via webkit browser, cast your vote in the poll above.  Otherwise tweet us or drop a line the comments!

We just got the word that JeeoSuite is now available in public beta for everyone to try.  I gave the app a swing a few weeks ago, and am really impressed with its attributes as it does exactly what it promises.  JeeoSuite is an app that connects your BlackBerry to your web browser and allows you to access all of your mobile info through there including email, photos, files, calendar, bookmarks, and more!  All of it is done through WiFi.

Even though we got a nice hands on with the BlackBerry PlayBook a few weeks ago, which isn’t too far from the April 19th launch date, RIM has implemented some nice new features still.  Kevin over at CrackBerry got a nice hands on with the native calculator and weather apps, both looking really good.  Hit the jump to check out both videos.

FileScout is today’s deal of the day at the PocketBerry Store.  For those who aren’t familiar with the app, FileScour is a file, text, zip, and image manager for BlackBerry.  There’s just one too many features you can check out after the jump.  For today only, you can save 57% on FileScout, bringing it down to $2.99, rather than $5.99.  Hit the jump for a list of features and link to check it out.

Fixmo just launched their latest creation called Extend in the PocketBerry Store.  It’s in beta at the moment and is being offered absolutely free.  The idea is quite simple as we’re very familiar with apps like this (Tether).  Fixmo Extend allows you to use your BlackBerry’s data connection on your PC without facing extra charges from the carrier.

The application is quite simple, and the idea is great.  Apps like these will give apps in App World more exposure (I said app one too many times there).  So AppStalker allows you to browse premium applications that are now free or that have gone down in price in App World.  I’ve seen a similar application in App Store for iOS, but that was short lived and removed quickly.  This one’s by S4BB and is now free to download for everyone.
