BlackBerry Messenger 6.0 Screenshots – Slightly New UI & Features!
by Otoniel Bruno
We tried the leaked BlackBerry Messenger 6.0, but it did not have anything that threw us off. It felt more of an beta upgrade from what we already had. Adam at CrackBerry spotted some screenshots of BlackBerry Messenger 6.0 showing off some nice new features.

First we notice that icons have more color within the app, as all of OS 6.1 does already. Also, BBM 6.0 will come with more favicons. So yeah, maybe you won’t have to buy those apps which give you more smileys and flags any more. Aside from the icons, you’ll be able to switch up different colors for different contacts and chat windows.
As far as the UI goes, it kind of looks the same, but menus and options appear to be a little different here. As we mentioned before, there has been leaks for BBM 6.0 already, but none of these seem to sporting any good features, and are actually quite buggy.
So far we know that BBM will sport the fancy new 6.1 icons within the app itself. So no more boring icons and instead you get the fun colored ones that you’ll grow to love. Also, from the looks of things you’ll be able to change colors for contacts and chats, so you can pick and choose what color to match with what contact. Aside from that just some eye candy for now.
