SUGARCON, SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – April 6, 2011 – SugarCRM, the world’s fastest-growing customer relationship management (CRM) company, today announced new capabilities that extend the mobile CRM leadership position of Sugar 6 – CRM Made Simple. The new mobile additions include support for the Android mobile OS, the Blackberry platform, native iPad support, offline synchronisation capabilities and a new HTML5-based charting engine.

“Today’s CRM user lives in an ‘always-on’ world, and we strive to meet the needs of today’s connected worker,” said Clint Oram, co-founder and CTO of SugarCRM. “Support for leading mobile platforms like Android simply gives our customer the choice and control over their CRM deployments that they have come to expect from SugarCRM.”

The new Sugar Mobile applications for Android and Blackberry include the same robust mobile CRM features available in the existing Sugar Mobile for iPhone application. This includes access to core Sugar modules, as well as customisation capabilities to build streamlined, purpose-built mobile applications for field agents and other members of the modern mobile workforce.

SugarCRM also extends its support for the Apple iOS by adding a new native Sugar Mobile application for iPad.  The new iPad application leverages the larger screen and unique user experience of the iPad to create a powerful mobile tool for sales, marketing and support professionals.

SugarCRM is also introducing new offline data synchronisation capabilities, allowing Sugar Mobile users to access critical CRM data without an Internet connection. Offline access to data improves user productivity and CRM adoption, and allows users to complete business tasks while in areas without Web connectivity, such as in airplanes or remote geographies.

In addition, the latest edition of Sugar 6 also includes a new charting engine, built on HTML5. This enables the rich dashboards and visual reporting features of Sugar 6 to be more easily and fully accessible via mobile interfaces, including iPhones and iPads.

Sugar mobile for Android, Blackberry and iPad, as well as new offline sync capabilities will be made generally available this spring. For more information about Sugar 6, or to access a free trial, visit: http://www.sugarcrm.com/freetrial
