OfficeMax now accepting BlackBerry PlayBook pre-orders

Most of you who wanted to pre-order the BlackBerry PlayBook already did.  A few weeks ago we let you know that OfficeMax officially announced the BlackBerry PlayBook to be available in all US stores.  Last Friday, they announced that they are now officially accepting pre-orders for the tablet.  Again, it might be too late, but for those still hanging around or preferred to deal with OfficeMax, you can pre-order as early as today.  As you know it, the PlayBook starts at $499.99 for the 16GB model.  Hit the jump for the full press release from OfficeMax.

OfficeMax Enables Customers to Pre-Order 16 GB BlackBerry PlayBook Online

Customers can pre-order a new tablet through Office.com now until April 19, 2011 -

OfficeMax will allow customers to pre-order a new 16 GB BlackBerry® PlayBook(TM) tablet (retail price: $499) through www.officemax.com now through April 19, 2011.

Beginning on April 19, 2011 the BlackBerry PlayBook with Wi-Fi® will be available in three models, retail price: $499 (16GB), $599 (32GB)* and $699 (64GB)* at any OfficeMax retail location or online* starting April 19, 2011. Pre-orders will ship directly from OfficeMax’s warehouse after April 19, 2011. Limited quantities will be available.
