New BlackBerry Touch 9860 image shows new style menu buttons
by Kal ChebliHere we get a pretty up close look at the BlackBerry Touch 9860 bottom half. As you can seen, the buttons look different than what we had imagined for the device. In the past we saw the BlackBerry Storm 2 9550 and 9520 get buttons all on the same surface with the touchscreen as SurePress, but it looks like that technology is long dead. Then there’s the BlackBerry Torch which gets buttons all on the same surface rather than individual buttons which worked out well. Now it looks like the Touch 9860 gets individual buttons for the call, menu, back, and end call buttons.
Notice anything else? There’s no color! If you recall from BlackBerry World 2011, the BlackBerry Bold 9900 also does not sport any color for the call send and end buttons. Perhaps this is uniform for BlackBerry smartphones from now on, or just a phase RIM is going through.
