We already know that the BlackBerry Bold 9900 is heading to T-Mobile as it was officially announced back at BlackBerry World 2011.  Then there’s the BlackBerry Monza, which we got an exclusive tip that it was mentioned at a “See BlackBerry Different” event a while back.  The BlackBerry Apollo has been left in the dark a bit, but it looks like all that is surfacing now.  Here are the dates:

Once upon a time, T-Mobile launched UMA services for their WiFi enabled smartphones.  This allowed customers to make calls via WiFi and it was unlimited.  Then later on T-Mobile enforced that the minutes would deduct from your plan on WiFi or cell towers.  Now the company is offering its original unlimited WiFi calling once again for those who have UMA enabled smartphones!

Slacker Radio has just updated to version 4.0 for BlackBerry and other platforms.  With Slacker Radio v4.0, you can get Slacker on Demand which will run you $9.99 a month, rather than the $3.99 you would pay for the regular services.  So by on demand, that means you’ll be able to pull up any song, artist or album anytime you want and hear exactly what you want rather than just a streaming radio station.  Pretty cool right? Hit the jump for the full list of features.

On BlackBerry smartphones, pressing alt + RST resets the local cache for BlackBerry App World.  On your BlackBerry PlayBook you can reset the cache as well using the on screen keyboard.  Here’s how to do it:

  • Open up BlackBerry App World on your PlayBook
  • Swipe up from the bottom left bezel to bring up the on screen keyboard
  • Type RST, and you’ll get a pop up message saying “The Service Cache has been cleared.”

It’s not certain what cache this clears exactly but if you make any discoveries, drop us a line!

Both the BlackBerry Bold 9650 and BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 got OS updates today officially from Verizon.  They have already been bumped up to OS 6.0, but this is the first update they get since switched over.  This is OS 6.0.0.524, not the latest OS build we’ve seen, but it is official for those scared to explore further.

Here’s another BlackBerry PlayBook commercial, but this time it’s showing off its Adobe Flash capability in the web browser.  “You get the best out of the internet, not just part of it.”  That’s a line right from the commercial that seems to be a big pitch for the PlayBook browser.  You can enjoy every aspect of the web rather than just get simplified versions of it.  Enjoy the clip!

We saw the short version of this commercial once in the past, but it looks like the full extended version has been released on the BlackBerry YouTube channel.  RIM’s newest Super Apps pitch in commercials seems to be doing very well, since the world was really oblivious to what BlackBerry apps had to offer.  Now users all over are getting more familiar with apps, and Super Apps more or so and how they make your BlackBerry experience superb.
