Based on the small poll we put up a couple days ago, the majority wants native BBM on the BlackBerry PlayBook.  Native email is already confirmed, as RIM broke the news out during BlackBerry World 2011.  In the end of the day, BlackBerry Bridge is a cool feature to have, and being able to use Bridge Browser anywhere your BlackBerry smartphone has service is pretty awesome.  With that said, it would be great as an option, and not so much mandatory to get the real BlackBerry experience.

Vector Runner is a really awesome game that gives you a retro 1980s feel. When I play it I think of Tron for some reason. The point of this game is to guide your racer through a 3D obstacle course grabbing orbs (which gives you extra points, extra lives, and invincibility); but watch out for obstacles, emp mines etc. Vector Runner offers a real challenge with tasks to complete as the game gets faster and faster.

Now that the US and Canada officially have the BlackBerry PlayBook out, it’s time for other countries to start picking it up.  We already have the affirmative that the UK is getting it soon, and now there’s confirmation for Saudi Arabia.  STC announced at GITEX in Saudi Arabia that they will be selling the BlackBerry PlayBook on June 25th, getting full Arabic language support on it for both writing and reading.

On a side note, they also mentioned that BlackBerry App World will be available for all their customers finally so users can finally take advantage of BlackBerry applications.

Thanks ecivon for the tip!

Mister Weather is definitely a unique weather application as it’s unlike anything else I’ve seen before.  Regular weather applications show you temperatures, images of the weather forecast with clouds, and different views (hour by hour, day, week, etc).  Mister Weather instead shows a frog instead of a cloud that represents the weather of that day.  So if it’s a sunny day, you’ll see the frog standing rocking a pair of shades.  On a rainy day the frog will have a top hat on with an umbrella, and animated rain falling down.  The cool thing about the app is that the background changes according to what city you input.  So if you put in New York City, you’ll see Time Square in the background of the frog.  All sorts of different views are available, with multiple city and country support.  It’s free to download at BlackBerry App World.
