There’s nothing like ending the week off with some OS leaks.  Hopefully these aren’t the last of the day, but it’s a great start.  OS 6.0.0.570 leaked out early this morning for both the BlackBerry Bold 9780 and BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300.  The BlackBerry Torch 9800 got this update not too long ago as well. There’s no word on what’s new in these leaks so give them a test drive and let us know!

The inPulse Smartwatch, or as I like to call it the BlackBerry watch just got a nice addition.  A few months back, we were informed that inPulse went open source with its watch where developers could make applications for it.  Today they have announced their hockey application for the inPulse smartwatch.  With the hockey application, you can get scores pushed directly to your watch,  You can be notified everytime a goal is scored, and get the updated score whenever you want.

This app is really effortless to install on your inPulse Smartwatch.  It’s all done over the air through the BlackBerry application.  Click here for instructions on how to install.  If you don’t have an inPulse yet, you can grab one as low as $149.99.

BlackBerry Theme Studio 6 is finally official!  For a while it has been in beta, and now RIM has released the full Gold Release now.  When BlackBerry 6 OS first launched, we were unable to get any themes for a little while, then the first beta launched supporting certain devices, and later one we saw all BlackBerry 6 devices supported.  Continue reading to check out features of BlackBerry Theme Studio 6 Gold Release and to download!

I came across a new theme called iSplash in the PocketBerry Store that really changes how your home screen looks.  The theme reminds me of iOS a little with how the icons are aligned, but of course it looks better on BlackBerry!  You get ten home screen icons, five on top of five.  The theme looks great on the BlackBerry Torch 9800, but is compatible as well on other QWERTY models too.

Remember those BBM Flirt commercials? The same ones have been dubbed to Spanish and brought to countries including Argentina and Brazil.  The BBM Flirt commercials exemplifies how BlackBerry can be a personal tool of social networking and staying in touch, rather than just a business device.  You can watch the rest of the clips after the jump!

Browsing through BlackBerry App World for my PlayBook, I stumbled across an app called Popcorn Rush. What an addicting game.  Popcorn Rush is a fast action game where you swipe your finger over the hot kernals to pop them into popcorn. You score extra points by swiping multiple kernals at a time, and swiping jalapenos (which opens up an extra bonus).  More info and screenshots after the jump!

A few days ago we let you know about SeaBattle for BlackBerry being the first game using the BBM Social Platform.  The game seemed to be under some sort of beta at that time, but now has officially launched.  SeaBattleSE is pretty much the same as Battleship, and you can play with your friends online.  To get the BBM Social Platform working you must have BBM 6.0 installed on your BlackBerry.  The game itself supports both OS 5 and OS 6.

By now you know that AT&T is not allowing its customers to use BlackBerry Bridge on BlackBerry smartphones to connect to the PlayBook.  RIM obviously knows about this too, and so they have put up desktop installer files for it as well.  RIM states “AT&T BlackBerry® users should contact AT&T for information regarding pricing for the BlackBerry® Bridge™ feature.”  This sort of hints that AT&T is looking to charge customers for BlackBerry Bridge, which is not a good thing at all.  We know that Sprint is planning on charging its customers for it, and users aren’t happy with that at all.  In the meantime, if you still don’t have Bridge installed on your AT&T BlackBerry, you can pick up the desktop installers from the link below.  After downloading, run it through BlackBerry Desktop Manager to install and you’ll be good to go!

Now that was a really short beta.  Just at BlackBerry World 2011, RIM officially announced Twitter for BlackBerry 2.0, and how it would be available in the next few days in BlackBerry Beta Zone.  The beta has ended and now RIM has officially launched Twitter 2.0, and you can grab it over at App World.

According to RBC analyst Mike Abramsky, RIM sold 250,000 BlackBerry PlayBook tablets in the first month of launch.  He says that they could sell 500,000 units in the first quarter, with 100,000 units of channel inventory.  Assuming this analysis is correct, RIM will be selling roughly 3 million units this year, as predicted before launch.

The BlackBerry PlayBook has been getting negative feedback by bloggers who reviewed the unit, before updated came through and with a whole bunch of bugs included.  Of course consumers read reviews and some people’s perception on the PlayBook has been transformed.

In the end of the day the BlackBerry PlayBook is an excellent tablet, where it caters to both business and consumers users in a 7 inch form factor wanted by demand.
