MyBlackBerry gets rebranded as BlackBerry Communities
by Mac Jadalhack
Who remembers the online community MyBlackBerry? It was a popping for a while then it seems like users fell off. The idea of MyBlackBerry was to bring BlackBerry users together to exchange app suggestions, tips, tricks and more. Now it looks like RIM has rebranded its MyBlackBerry to BlackBerry Communities. Here’s the official email I received about the switch:
Hello,
As a valued registered user of MyBlackBerry™, we are pleased to notify you that the site is being re-branded and re-launched as “BlackBerry Communities,” starting June 13, 2011.
You’ll be able to access our new Communities page at: http://us.blackberry.com/communities.
From the BlackBerry Communities page, you’ll now be able to scan at a glance all the activity happening in real-time in all our communities. And because we value the opportunity to connect with our customers online, you’ll also be able to quickly join any BlackBerry community conversation already in progress on Facebook®, Twitter®, YouTube®, our Support forums and our blogs, as well as see the top trending and newest free and paid BlackBerry Apps!
Thank you,
The BlackBerry Team at Research In Motion Limited
So there you have it – BlackBerry Communities. The site looks a lot better than MyBlackBerry and links itself to BlackBerry App World as well making it all a unified experience.
