BlackBerry Traffic got a small update in BlackBerry Beta Zone yesterday.  It looks like it’s only bug fixes so don’t look forward to any major add ons or UI changes.  Here’s the change log:

  • Implementation of fixes to issues identified during the BlackBerry Traffic v2.0.1 program.
  • Updated map database: Addresses tester concerns of incorrect map and route data.

You can grab BlackBerry Traffic at BlackBerry Beta Zone today to get the latest version.

Thanks Edgar for the tip!

We have yet to see a carrier have the BlackBerry Bold 9900 on shelves, as T-Mobile has confirmed to carry it in August, and some other carriers have as well.  Virgin Mobile Canada tweeted out yesterday that they will be carrying the Bold 9900 officially “super soon.”  No word on Virgin Mobile in the US getting it, but Canada is good to go.

One of the biggest advantages of the BlackBerry PlayBook is that it fully supports Adobe Flash.  The web browsing experience is unlike any other tablet out on the market.  With that said, flash games work a breeze.  A new app hit BlackBerry App World for PlayBook called FlashGames which gives you a wide selection of free flash games to play.  The app is free to download.  Click the link below to grab a copy.

Texas Hold’em King LIVE! is a free poker game for BlackBerry where users can play against each other live online and enhance wealth (digitally only of course).  We got the word from Magmic that they have reached over 600,000 unique accounts for the game. According to THK Live’s Product Manager, there will be additional platforms supported for the game later in the summer, which will of course broaden who you can play online with now.

Here’s some interesting features getting added in the future:

  • Tournaments – We’re working on Sit-n-Go and Deep Stack monthly tournaments
  • More Payment Options – We’re integrating with BlackBerry Payment Services to allow our users more ways to stock up on chips.

Full press release after the jump!

Who’s hating? BlackBerry PlayBook users deserve the same gaming experience as Apple iPad and Android tablet users do.  Sometimes the game developers leave BlackBerry out, which explains Angry Farm for BlackBerry smartphones.  So here we see Farmdefense, which as Ronen from BerryReview suggests, it’s very close to Plants vs Zombies.  We saw a game for BlackBerry smartphones called Humans vs Aliens, but it wasn’t totally a rip of Plants vs Zombies – pretty close though.  Farmdefense is pretty much it.  The nice part about it is that it’s for the BlackBerry PlayBook, so for those who previously played Plants vs Zombies on the iPad, this brings back memories.

At a premium of only 99 cents you can own this game today.  Get it at App World today.
