Who remembers the online community MyBlackBerry? It was a popping for a while then it seems like users fell off. The idea of MyBlackBerry was to bring BlackBerry users together to exchange app suggestions, tips, tricks and more. Now it looks like RIM has rebranded its MyBlackBerry to BlackBerry Communities. Here’s the official email I received about the switch:

I guess that means BlackBerry PlayBook OS 1.0.6 is already in the making. RIM did promise us native email and PIM at BlackBerry World 2011, so an update has to come eventually. Also upon receiving our BlackBerry PlayBooks, we were told there will be many updates for the tablet to enhance the experience every time. So it looks like OS 1.0.6 got out in BlackBerry Beta Zone, but not for everyone. According to N4BB, select developers had it pop up to test their apps in. Here’s the official note from RIM:

From June 8th – 12, the Indonesian Cellular Show took place in Indonesia, where cellular companies from all over the world got to exhibit their latest products and services. With that said, RIM had its presence there with BlackBerry smartphones, and of course the latest and greatest BlackBerry PlayBook. Just as we’ve had in our past BlackBerry events in the US, RIM had a little Foursquare game going on where you could win bands and hats by checking into venues while at the conference. The video above is the first clip showing you the BlackBerry booth at the Indonesian Cellular Show this year, and you can check out the second clip after the jump.

RIM put out an official post on their blog in regards to the random update for the BlackBerry PlayBook which surfaced over the weekend. We recently got a bump up to OS 1.0.5, adding some nice goodies to the PlayBook, and then this latest small jump to 1.0.5.2342. As for the update, RIM confirms that it was in reference to Adobe Flash Player having some vulnerabilities. We see the fix released in this, although RIM says there are no reports on PlayBook users actually having any issues with it to begin with. You can read up more on the vulnerability and see what it specifically included.

Right after BlackBerry Bold 9900 parts were spotted online, the BlackBerry Touch 9860 made its availability as well. Parts found for it are the touchscreen digitizer, menu keypad, and bezel faceplate. As confirmed before, the buttons for it are all in white as the green and red colors have been dropped completely. We saw this on the BlackBerry Bold 9900 as well, so it may be a new trend RIM is putting out for their devices now.
