First we see that Verizon is getting the BlackBerry Bold 9930 officially, and now Sprint has some leaked documentation showing both the Bold 9930 and Torch 2 9850 headed there as well. It’s nice to see the Torch expand to other carriers, as it was exclusively AT&T in the United States, and never made its way anywhere as CDMA. The BlackBerry Bold 9930 is set to launch for Sprint on August 21st while the Torch 2 9850 doesn’t have a confirmed date just yet.

We already knew that the new BlackBerry Bold comes in two versions, the 9900 for GSM and the 9930 for CDMA. It looks like somebody in advertising effed up and had an advertisement on Google showing the new BlackBerry Bold headed to Verizon. We’ve seen ad bloopers in the past and we can’t complain when it assures us a device is headed to a specific carrier.

Reddvin is a third party application for the playbook designed to integrate with reddit.com as a reader. This is an application redditors are going to love for the playbook. Reddvin allows users to browse reddit without opening up the browser. Reddvin has been built with the same core user interface redditors have come to love; the simplistic look. As redditors know, reddit.com hasn’t changed it page layout in years and for this reddvin has kept the flow similar.
Its a basic application but has a few key features such as choosing a subreddit and allowing users to login to upvote/downvote. The application also allows you to refresh the stream without having to close out and reopen. As far as links that have pictures, there is a good sized thumbnail that appears on the right side of the thread. It doesn’t seem to have embeded video youtube video style that’s we can pop out as seen on reddit.com but you can stream videos within the app without having to open the browser.

If you’re like me you don’t have to worry about alarms or snooze buttons; you just wake up like clockwork on time everyday. Now if you’re not like that then this app is for you. Introducing puZZed for BlackBerry. This app actually helps you stay up, so you don’t keep hitting the snooze button, or oversleep. With puZZed you have puzzles that you have to solve to turn off your alarm. These puzzles require thinking and focus so by the time you get the alarm off you are up and ready to go.
The app is free, and it comes with two puzzles. There is a math alarm, where you have to answer 5 math questions correctly to turn off the alarm. There is also a writing alarm, where you have to copy a sentence that’s already been written out. Now if that’s not enough there are 3 more puzzles for purchase.

The BlackBerry PlayBook comes with a full one year warranty, where if anything goes wrong with it, you can get it fixed or warranty exchanged. Included is on the phone tech support as well where you can talk to a PlayBook representative about any issues you may be having. The phone support is only 90 days. On my first BlackBerry PlayBook, I noticed a dead pixel on the screen. I tried applications to make sure it was indeed a dead pixel and not a stuck pixel. Then I decided to call and this is how it went.

Twisted Fairy Tales – Robin Hood has a pretty twisted story to it. This game is styled like those “what’s the difference” games where you have two pictures and have to find the differences. So the story is told through these pictures as you advance level to level seeing where Robin Hood ends up. There’s no great way of explaining it but some of it is pretty trippy. This game has been out for a while on the BlackBerry PlayBook, as it comes from the first batch from launch I believe. You can grab it free at App World only for the PlayBook.

With no pricing confirmed yet, the BlackBerry PlayBook is set to launch in the United Arab Emirates on June 25th. RIM has been doing their tours around the world introducing the PlayBook internationally and announcing launch dates as well. Perhaps we’ll be seeing the UAE version come with native Arabic keyboard and in-browser support just like Saudi Arabia will have for their PlayBook tablets which will launch on the same day as well.

If you are like me and use your BlackBerry for everything possible then you will be excited to hear that KINGMAX will start distributing a 64GB Micro SD card.
Some readers may ask, “Why do I need that much storage in my phone?” Well the answer to that question is easy – media. Currently iPhones get storage up to 64GB allowing users to store massive amounts of music, videos, and pictures all on their mobile. I’m not saying everyone has 64GB worth, but if you do, why not be able to carry it in your pocket right on your BlackBerry? I’m sure you’re well aware of how big videos can be in MB size when recording right off your device. Or full movies you ripped and downloaded right on. Why do you want to carry a camera, an ipod, or a usb drive with me when you can just carry your BlackBerry device with you. Simple.
