We need more quality games besides Need for Speed on the PlayBook
by Kal ChebliNeed for Speed was pretty groundbreaking for me to see on the BlackBerry PlayBook when attending an event for it before the official launch. We had never seen such high quality graphics come from a BlackBerry device in the past, so it was a pretty big deal. And now three months later, I’m getting sick of its hype a bit. It’s a great game and I think it’s a huge deal to show people around the world when promoting the tablet, but we need that same high quality to reach out to elsewhere.
Surely there’s Tetris also, but sadly it’s a game we’ve taken for granted as it’s been available on every mobile platform for years and years.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’d like to see more games launch for the PlayBook with rich graphics such as Need for Speed, whether they be big names or not. I’m sure some of you can agree, for those who are gaming on it that is. Currently iOS and Android offer many high graphics games (3D I guess) and it’s a shame seeing the tablet go to waste with the graphics potential it already has.
