We already saw Android apps running on the BlackBerry PlayBook last week and I guess this was the next best thing we wanted to see. Android Market was spotted running on a PlayBook by a user over in the CrackBerry forums earlier today. It’s not exactly perfected but it works! Check out the video above and let us know what you think.

I have to say, Bed-Buzz is definitely one of the better apps I’ve seen available for the BlackBerry PlayBook and it’s free. The whole experience is just great. When you open up the application for the first time, it asks for your name to type in. Then it will try to locate where you are using GPS and if no signal is available, you can manually input you’re location.

IM+ Pro for BlackBerry just updated to version 9.0. Usually when we see a significant jump in versions like we have here from v8.7.6 to 9.0, we expect to see a change log with a list of new features. Not this time around. Perhaps we’ll see a change log surface but for now you’ll have to figure out changes on your own.

I guess every tablet should have an Etch-A-Sketch application. This one’s not branded the same, but it’s the same variation bringing the same features the real deal does. Magic Screen gives you a left knob for scrolling left and right and a right knob for scrolling up and down. The only issue I have with it is that once you start drawing in depth, you can’t see a cursor to see where you are at the moment making your pictures a little imperfect. Maybe we’ll see the developers get on that in future updates!
Magic Screen is free to download from BlackBerry App World and is exclusively for the BlackBerry PlayBook.
Note: I tried writing “PocketBerry” in MagicScreen for the screenshot, then settled for a sloppy “PB” as it was harder than I thought

ScoreMobile for BlackBerry recently updated to version 1.8.1 adding BBM 6 integration. Where it’s integrated exactly I can’t figure out. In addition to BBM 6 integration, there’s some bug fixes in this build as well. If any of you figure out where BBM integration is in the app let us know!

Finally we get to see the BlackBerry Torch 9860 with typing demonstrations. Unfortunately the past few video leaks for the Torch 9850/9860 show the device in and out with device menus, apps, and the whole exterior. Never before have we seen typing demonstrations done like this one does. After seeing the video it’s noticeable that the Torch 9860 responds quite well when typing. The user typing in the video may not be an avid touchscreen typer, but I definitely see potential where the device responds well to fast fingered BlackBerry addict. Video after the jump!

For those who haven’t downloaded Facebook v2.0 yet on your BlackBerry smartphone or PlayBook, you can check out some demo videos RIM put together showing all the ins and outs. The biggest highlight of Facebook 2.0 for smartphones is Facebook Chat finally integrated. Once upon a time, third party applications were required to achieve Facebook Chat. Now it’s built right into the app with option to be online or offline. Now for the biggest tease of this video – a BlackBerry Bold 9900 is being used for the demo. Touchscreen seems to be quite handy in the app as I didn’t expect it to be.
My whole “issue” with the touchscreen Bold was that some stuff would be hard to press with your fingers (chubby or not) just because the screen isn’t as big as the average touchscreen smartphone. This video proves my theory wrong as Facebook 2.0 gets navigation left and right on the touchscreen Bold with no issues.

A lot of BlackBerry users are looking forward to the BlackBerry Torch 9860/9850 only because we haven’t seen full touchscreen devices come from RIM being overall successful. Let’s face it, the Storm was a disaster and didn’t last very long on the market. So now we see this image of the BlackBerry Torch 9860 with no AT&T branding on the actual device, but a stock AT&T background instead. Up above where the signal bars are we see it say “H+” where hopefully we’ll be seeing HSPA+ (4G) ready on the device. Pretty cool. Again, no solid confirmation that this one’s an AT&T device, but it’s sort of safe to assume it is, especially since the carrier is expected to get it too.
