After RIM released OS 1.0.7.2650 for the BlackBerry PlayBook yesterday morning, they ended up pulling it due to users having trouble connecting via Bridge. RIM has sent out a new OS update 1.0.7.2670. From what I see the update fixes issues with the bridge and brings the same updated features from 1.0.7.2650. So if you missed the update from yesterday or having issues with the bridge here is your chance to get the new update.
Let us know if you are still having bridge issues or if they have been resolved, and is there anything else RIM may have thrown in on this OS update

Having no watermarks on a free screenshot app for BlackBerry seems to be a luxury for many who have adapted to the freebie version of Screen Muncher. The catch with the free version is that screenshots save in 87% of the image quality rather than the full 100%. Not a big deal if you ask me. You can grab it free at the PocketBerry Store.

While browsing App World on my BlackBerry PlayBook I stumbled across InOrder. InOrder is a very addicting game, with a very simple concept. All you have to do is put the numbers in order, before the timer runs out. The game starts out easy at first but as you advance the game becomes challenging and your skills are really put to the test. InOrder can be found in AppWorld for free.

As you all know by now, RIM pulled out OS 1.0.7 for the BlackBerry PlayBook due to users having issues with BlackBerry Bridge. It’s enough we don’t have native email, and now Bridge just doesn’t work for some. So we wanted to see how many of you out there are having issues with it versus those who have it working just fine.

Pretty pointless right? I went ahead to download it and it was pretty straight forward. Comic Sans Browser is a free web browser which makes all the fonts on sites you load Comic Sans. Just as simple as that. It’s a really light browser with super simplicity as you can see. A nice “advantage” is that the browser runs without saving history, bookmarks, or recently visited sites at all. Hint, hint.

Something you couldn’t do with the BlackBerry Torch 9800 is play videos in portrait mode. The Torch is a great all around device allowing you to use it in portrait, landscape, onscreen keyboard, and physical QWERTY keyboard. But playing videos just seemed annoying to always have to play in landscape mode. With the last leaked BlackBerry Torch 9810 video, we see video play in portrait which may not mean much for some, but I think is a great addition. I’m assuming you’ll be able to customize this feature how you want it through an option, or rotate it while it’s in play even.

Today’s Deal of the Day in the PocketBerry Store is QuickLaunch, the app that gives you customized shortcuts in a menu on your home screen. It’s definitely a must have utility on BlackBerry, especially since some of us only have one convenience key, so QuickLaunch helps make the best of it by adding many shortcuts to that one button to your favorite apps, contacts, images, and more! The features list is endless, so if you haven’t checked out QuickLaunch yet, click the link below to see more or to purchase a copy today for only $2.49.
