This takes music on a whole new level in the social aspect. Perhaps buying music is an old gig and streaming music on the cloud is what’s in this season. BBM Music isn’t available to the general public yet, but you can sign up to be notified when it is. Instead of doing the same old BlackBerry PlayBook giveaway for the next month, we decided to go with an OS 7 device and a popular one at that. The BlackBerry Bold 9900 comes out in all T-Mobile stores on August 31st so we decided to run a giveaway for the device. Same rules apply to participate:
- Drop a comment below using a valid email address.
- Retweet this post or Like it on Facebook (if you win, you’ll send us a screenshot showing you did)
And that’s all there is to it! You have until September 30th to participate where a winner will be chosen on the 31st. The BlackBerry Bold 9900 will come with an unlock code in case you’d like to use it on another carrier. Giveaway is open to all of the US and Canada. Good luck to all!

Wikitude was originally presented to us at BlackBerry World earlier this year with its announcement of BlackBerry support for OS 7 device. The key behind Wikitude is augmented reality where the application displays your camera and points out what’s around you including BBM contacts that are connected. For those who haven’t heard of it before, you can read more on their blog. There are other applications that tell you what’s around you such as the popular one Poynt, but of course it doesn’t give you the same augmented reality experience that Wikitude does.
So those who currently have OS 7 devices, are you using Wikitude at all? Let us know!

There’s no word on which airport has this display up, but it’s pretty damn cool. Monster Media partnered with Starcom and Razorfish to bring this gigantic BlackBerry PlayBook interactive touchscreen display to an airport (or maybe several). You can touch the display and learn more on the PlayBook and get a bit of a hands on experience with it. We haven’t seen anything like this for the BlackBerry PlayBook in the past, but I think this works well for consumers who know nothing about the tablet.

It’s a bit confusing at this time when it comes to picking your next BlackBerry device. As of now we have the BlackBerry Bold 9900, Torch 9810, Torch 9850/9860, and now the all new BlackBerry Curve 9350/9360/9370. The Bold 9900 seems to be the highest preferred since avid Berry users have been wanting a Bold 9000 form factor with up to date specs and a touchscreen on top. Plus it has built in NFC which the Torch models lack.
