Basic information including your device, PIN, and OS version are easily accessible on BlackBerry. iDentity is a free application that gathers all three in one place where you have the option to email the information out to whomever you want. It’s a simple application and according to the description its targeted towards developers to link to users and find out info on BlackBerry devices when creating apps. Check it out using the link below.

It’s not the first time we see cases that charge your BlackBerry on the go. In the past we reviewed the Case-Mate Fuel Case which was was hard shell case with a built in battery to charge your BlackBerry a full charge and a half. This time around we are reviewing the PowerSkin for the BlackBerry Bold 9700 and 9780 which provides a silicon case solution with a built in battery that will charge your BlackBerry.

Poynt for BlackBerry has officially updated to version 1.8.1 adding BBM 6 integration. A few weeks ago we saw this build leak out and a few of you may of already had this version, but now it’s official. Here’s a video above demoing how it works with BlackBerry Messenger.

Need for Speed was never the greatest game on BlackBerry. It launched for the BlackBerry PlayBook which provided an incredible experience with 3D game play we’ve been anxious to see come from RIM for a very long time. With the new device line up which includes the BlackBerry Torch 9810, we see better enhanced game play. I picked up the Torch 9810 yesterday from AT&T and saw a link in games for Need for Speed Shift. Although it was only a demo, it exemplified how good game play can get on it as the graphics were real smooth and responsive when driving around. Below are a couple of screenshots from the game, but simply hit the jump to check out more.

Par 72 Golf 3 is a new game available in the PocketBerry Store, which yes supports OS 7. Since all the new OS 7 devices include faster processors and support for better graphics, games like these are good to play. Par 72 Golf 3 is a full blown golf game, version 3 to be exact so you’ probably seen it before in the past but never with these new graphics. Features include:

I noticed on both the BlackBerry Bold 9930 and BlackBerry Torch 9810 that in the Setup menu there’s a new option called “Device Switch.” In this menu, you get the luxury of switching BlackBerry devices by backing everything up to your memory card and then exporting it back out to your new one. The second option is to switch through Desktop Manager where you’ll just see instructions written.
I think switching BlackBerry devices has become a big problem for a while with all the confusions that OS 5 and OS 6 had in the past.

The BlackBerry Torch 9810 is the second generation of the Torch 9800, based on the same form factor with changes mainly under the hood. On the exterior we see it appear in a nice silver finish with a silver gridded battery door rather than a rubber “ribbed” one. There’s a bunch to compare between the two, but I wanted to start out with the on screen keyboard and how much better the new 9810 one is versus the 9800. The old 9800 keyboard is pictured on the left, and the new 9810 keyboard on the right.

BBM integration is getting more and more popular everyday with third party applications since RIM officially launched the service. It started out with a few apps including Foursquare and ScoreMobile, and now there are plenty of apps supporting it. In BlackBerry App World (3.0 Beta), I noticed a category dedicated to BBM Connected applications. Found it useful for seeing all apps connected, as before you pretty much had to search for them on your own or wait to hear about them on the blogs. There are premium and free apps in the list, and I’m sure you’ll find some you didn’t know had BBM integration yet. Check it out at App World!
