BlackBerry Messenger has updated once again in BlackBerry Beta Zone. This time it’s a small jump to version 6.0.1.29. I didn’t go for the previous beta, but I know a lot of folks restored back to the official build due to instabilities. Here’s the change log from v6.0.129.
Fixed Issues
- BBM icon missing after upgrading
- EULA only appeared after attempting to open a Group
Known Issues
- User name and status in contacts carousel do not update when changed in public connection
- BBM EULA pops up and disappears before accepting it

T-Mobile is a proud carrier of the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and Curve 9360. Two devices that aren’t available on any other GSM carrier in the United States. Yes, AT&T has let us down very much up until now but we’re not going to get into that. T-Mobile sent us a clip showing off what their future stores are expected to look like. Not all of them will get this nice design, while some existing stores should expect the revamp. Check out the video and let us know what you think!

From the same makers of Smart WiFi comes a new application called WiFi Monitor. WiFi Monitor is a tool that allows you to see WiFi connection details. Not sure if this is something you want or need, but it’s there for those who enthuse over their wireless connections I guess. Click the link below to download it free.

We’ve seen apps like Smart Tilt in the past which basically lock tilts for whichever screen rotation you’re in. It’s been a while since we saw another variety like it so here’s Smart Tilt. There’s a few more options in this one as seen in the screenshot. The average screen tilt lock app just allows you to lock tilt when in the application, but you get a whole settings menu here. Check out at the PocketBerry Store for only 99 cents.

ToFu is an awesome game I found in BlackBerry App World for PlayBook yesterday. Usually I get bored quick with a lot of these PlayBook games, but ToFu was one of those that kept me playing for hours at a time. To explain the game in a nutshell, pretty much you’re this little piece of tofu with a bandana that gets flinged wall to wall to collect all the little gems. ToFu sticks to walls you launch at so he can hang upside down, sideways, or flat on the ground. There’s obstacles as you advance including spikes which will cause you to fail the level if you hit them. ToFu is $2.99 to buy from BlackBerry App World and is exclusively for the PlayBook.

Of course just a little disclaimer: You install at your own risk. It also looks like it over writes the stock ring tones on your current device. But if you are interested in having OS 7 ring tones on your BlackBerry device head over here!
