As QR codes are becoming more and more popular so is the need to have QR scanners. For some it’s essential or would make life easier to have the ability to create your own QR codes. This is where QRem comes in. I’ve had the opportunity to play with various QR apps but this one takes the cake. QRem was developed by CornPlay and they did a great job of loading it with a lot of features, such as:

  • Creating QR codes:
  • Inputting your own text
  • Creating QR codes of core applications on BlackBerry smartphones:
  • Calendar
  • Contacts
  • Memo
  • BlackBerry Pins
  • Tasks
  • Emails
  • Phone Numbers
  • GPS Coordinates
  • URLs
  • Allows you to view history of codes you scanned or created

QRem is one of the few apps that I have came across that not only scans but creates QR codes, that you can share with others. QRem is a free app, but they do offer a premium version for $.99 which can be found inside their app. It removes the banner to their website, so when you send  QR codes to other they don’t see the banner. This application is available for those using OS 6 or higher; so if you are interested point your browser here.
