BlackBerry DevCon Americas 2011 starts officially tomorrow and we’re excited to see what’s in store for the keynote.  We had the chance to explore App Express exhibit (since that’s all that is open at the moment).  Here are some images of what we can see so far from the DevCon show case.  App Express is the station set up for Android developers who want to port their applications to the BlackBerry PlayBook.  It’s easy accessible right in the hallway for developers to approach right on the spot and get to work with the help of RIM developers.  Hit the jump to see all photos.

I had the opportunity to spend some time with Alan Brenner the Senior Vice President of BlackBerry Platform for Research In Motion. For those unaware, Alan Brenner has put together many components of the BlackBerry platform. Applications such as the BBM platform, Facebook for BlackBerry, Twitter for BlackBerry and MVS (on the enterprise end) are just a few of his accomplishments.

Alan opened up the fourth Hackathon event in San Francisco, one of many organized nationwide.  I had the opportunity to speak with Alan Brenner about the BBM Platform, and the Hackathon event. It is amazing to see these events that RIM is putting on and it how it really gives developers the ability to work and share together, and to learn from each other and the professionals.
