It’s nice to see BBM Music go official so everyone can get in on the social music application.  Of course we’re seeing a lot of members increase on there due to it being a free trial, but in best hopes folks decide to stay on with the $4.99 monthly fee as well.  Any way, BBM Music updated last night to version 1.0.0.134 and yes a change log is available!

If you’re on Verizon, you may have noticed a message saying your region isn’t supported when installing BBM Music.  The change log reads: ” ‘Region not supported’ errors fixed for certain Verizon customers.” Uh oh, did that say certain only?  I’m hoping the fix goes across the board.  I deleted BBM Music on my Bold 9930 and reinstalled it to see if the message popped up again, but luckily it didn’t.  Update is available in BlackBerry App World.

Printing is something we haven’t been able to do on the BlackBerry PlayBook yet.  HotSpot Printing for BlackBerry PlayBook allows you to find Ricoh HotSpot printing locations.  Once you find one, you can send any photo or document to it to print.  The app is free to download and is available in BlackBerry App World.

XIMAD put out their Funniest Christmas Jokes application yesterday for free in BlackBerry App World this month as a promotion for the holiday season.  Next up is their game called Snake Freemium.  The game is free to download but has in app purchases to get more levels.  There’s a 75 level package which went from premium to being free now.  If you don’t have Snake Freemium already, click the link below to download free from BlackBerry App World.

The model number reads REA71UW, which of course does not resemble any BlackBerry device model number we know.  Luckily we see that it says BlackBerry right on the label and it is suspected to be for AT&T since it has the correct bands the carrier uses which are 850/1900.

What we do know is that the BlackBerry Bold 9790 is expected to take off sometime soon.  Perhaps AT&T is one of the carriers which will pick it up.   Alternatively, we could just be expecting the Curve 9360.  Other than that we shouldn’t be expecting any other BlackBerry smartphones, unless of course they’re sporting BBX OS!  You can check out the full FCC documentation here.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 is making its way to carriers in white color now.  It looks like it’s headed to Bell next, with a November 24th expected launch date according to a leaked memo.  The pricing is expected to be the same as the black version which is $169.95 on a 3 year contract $599.95 outright.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 is moving ahead of the CDMA 9930 big time when it comes to leaks.  The 9900 gets more leaked OS treatment, this time OS 7.0.0.503.  Once again, we’re hoping this build is stable or better than what’s currently out there.  Download at your own risk since it is a leak.

Twitter for BlackBerry just got updated to version 2.1.0.20.  In this version we see only fixes for mentions, options and more.  Here’s the full change log:

• *Fixed* @Mention – No notification of @mentions from users you are not following
• *Fixed* @Mention – The @mention notification in the message app does not clear
• *Fixed* @Mention – Splat on Mentions icon is hard to clear if you happen to be on the Mentions screen when the push notification arrives
• *Fixed* Options – Reordering of top two option items
• *Fixed* Virtual Keyboard – When composing a new Tweet or reply, the virtual ‘Tweet’ and ‘reply’ buttons do not activate

Zombie Attack for BlackBerry smartphones got updated to version 1.1.44 today adding 100 new levels to the game.  If you’ve been playing it since day 1, you may have finished off the whole game by now.  Now with another 100, there’s 200 levels in total.  Zombie Attack is free to download and so is this latest update.  Pick it up at App World.
