Yesterday I used Shazam to tag a song on my Bold 9930, and then clicked to purchase the song where I was then prompted to download 7Digital Music Store.  When I first started using the new Bold, there was no support for 7Digital yet, but now it looks like it’s been updated since the 4th this month as CrackBerry has spotted.

Surely OS 7 devices have “Music Store” powered by Amazon MP3.  Before OS 7 launched, 7Digital was the music store for BlackBerry devices and actually still is on the BlackBerry PlayBook.  Why start your music collection all over when you can keep building up on it from where you left off?  Download 7Digital Music Store free at BlackBerry App World.

AT&T posted up the latest and greatest commercial on their YouTube channel where BlackBerry Torch 9810’s are the devices of choice.  The commercial exemplifies how the new Torch is powerful and lets you post YouTube videos, update your fantasy team, play games, check in on Foursquare, “rocking out” to Pandora, and more!

This commercial even went viral with the “huh” guy who announced his fame on Reddit earlier today.  You can check out what people are saying about it or alternatively hit up the “Successful Huh Guy” thread.

The BlackBerry Bold 9790 has yet again made more presence online, this time indicating that it’s headed to Rogers in Canada.  Along with that we see the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and BlackBerry Curve 9360 both arriving in white as well to Rogers.  It would be nice to see an official announcement from RIM already on the new Bold 9790 and the way the leaks are going it could be a matter of a few weeks until we see that happen.  The Bold 9900 and Curve 9360 have both been seen in white before so it’s not a huge deal seeing this one, but a plus for those who were waiting for it to get to Rogers.

circulo

Circulo for BlackBerry is great for those who use their smartphones for social apps.  With that said, you get easy access to Twitter, Facebook, BBM, settings, Clock/Date.  All icons are custom made for this theme so you won’t be seeing anything repeated here from themes on the past.  It’s available for OS 5 and OS 6 devices only.

Wikitude for BlackBerry got updated over the weekend to version 6.0.13 and yes with a change log!  Since the official launch of the app, we’ve been seeing a couple updates which were mainly bug fixes rather than features.  Here’s the full change log for the latest update:

  • Option in settings screen to show BBM contacts only
  • Added menu option in list view to sort BBM contacts first
  • Added “bring me there” button to POI detail screen
  • Permissions for resetting the idle timer and input simulation are now optional, no longer mandatory
  • Standby while being in cam view is now disabled

kobo_logo_FINALPMS

Over the weekend we got the word from Kobo that they are dropping support for older BlackBerry OS versions.  You’ll have to have OS 6.0 or higher to keep getting updates and enjoy Kobo eBook reader.  If you already have Kobo on your OS 5.0 device (or older), it’s not guaranteed that you’ll be able to access all your books.

I don’t see this as such a downside as I hope the majority has OS 6.0 or higher by now.  If not, it’s time to upgrade! Continue reading for the official notice from Kobo.

Along with the BlackBerry Bold 9900 officially launching for AT&T, the new BlackBerry Torch 9860 has arrived as well.  AT&T now carries the Torch in two flavors- the 9860 and 9810.  The 9810 comes equipped with touchscreen and a full QWERTY keyboard that slides out.  The Torch 9860 is a full touchscreen device with a higher screen resolution and a larger display.  As we see advertised from RIM, the BlackBerry Torch 9860 is referred to as the “multimedia powerhouse” device.

AT&T offers the new Torch 9860 for only $99.99, which is half the price of the Bold 9900, and $50 more than what the Torch 9810 goes for.  Click the link below for more info.

att bold 9900 home page

The wait is over.  Yesterday the BlackBerry Bold 9900 finally took off for AT&T, the one carrier which was so needy for the device while every other carrier around had it already.  Verizon and Sprint offer the Bold 9900 running over the 3G network, while T-Mobile offers it in their “4G” standard.  The AT&T Bold 9900 gets H+ (HSPA+), which is AT&T’s next step after 3G- employees at the stores like to call it 3.5G.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 is $199 to purchase from AT&T with no rebates necessary.  Along with that comes a two year plan of course.  Otherwise you’ll have to dish out $549.99 if you don’t want to extend your contract.

Last week a leaked document showed a BlackBerry Curve 9370 headed to Verizon, rumored to launch this month.  The info was unclear until now where we see it in another Verizon document showing what devices are coming up in the future.  And as you guessed, the BlackBerry Curve 9370 makes its presence.  According to this doc, the launch date is set for November 17th.  We all know how leaked launch dates go- things can change at anytime,  but this is the “affirmative” so far.
