RIM confirms BlackBerry 10 smartphones late 2012

There’s no real surprise here as we expected RIM to delay their future products some more. Look at the BlackBerry PlayBook for instance- enough said. RIM confirmed today in the conference call that they will be delaying BlackBerry 10 smartphones to late 2012, rather that first quarter as promised earlier this year.
So what’s the delay blamed on? LTE. RIM says that the LTE devices with OS 10 are being delayed and won’t be available until the middle of 2012. Optimistically we’re expecting the devices in the second half.
