The BlackBerry Curve 9300 got an official OS update earlier this morning. OS 6.0.0.706 is a bit familiar to us as we’ve seen it launch officially for other BlackBerry smartphones. So far Vodafone Essar Limited carries it, so you can download it officially. Click the link below to download.

I’ve been checking out the OtterBox website every now and then to see when they’d be adding the new line of BlackBerry smartphones accessories.  The BlackBerry Bold 9790 which hasn’t hit the United States yet is now available but only for the Commuter series.  For those unfamiliar with the Commuter, it’s the mid-grade case OtterBox has to offer which provides excellent protection without bulking your device up as much as the Defender.  The cases go for $34.95 and come as a two layer case- one hard shell on the outside, and a fancy silicone case wrapped around the device.  Click the link below to purchase your Commuter or any other OtterBox case.

BlackBerry DevCon was an awesome event to attend this year.  The keynotes were great as they highlighted where RIM was going in the future with BBX, which is now known as BlackBerry 10.  We got to see different companies get on stage and show off their applications for BlackBerry as well.  Here’s a video highlighting all the ins and outs of the keynote at DevCon Asia along with an interview.

os 7-1 torch 9810 hybrid

The folks over at OSBB have put out a hybrid of some sort for the BlackBerry Torch 9810 which includes WiFi mobile hotspot.  The OS version is 7.1.0.74.  Definitely a very early build of 7.1, but it’s great if you want mobile hotspot already.  Click here to download the OS but make sure you check out their full post on the OS before doing anything.

Earlier this morning RIM officially announced at BlackBerry DevCon Asia 2011 that BBX is renamed BlackBerry 10.  Now the folks at CrackBerry snagged a photo of what seems to be the BlackBerry Milan.  If all rumors are true, this is going to be the first slider BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry 10 OS.  The first OS 10 device we’re supposed to see is allegedly all touchscreen, but who knows at this point.  It doesn’t exactly look like the Torch anymore and seems quite large as a device.  I guess that’s what society demands- bigger phones.
