RIM gets 6600 new BlackBerry developers in 11 days

14 February 2012 No Comment

According to a tweet by RIM’s Director of Developer Relations Alec Saunders, there are 6,600 new BlackBerry developers in the last 11 days.  Of course RIM does have the promotion going for developers to receive a free BlackBerry PlayBook upon developing and successfully submitting an application, but I definitely was not expecting results this high.  Furthermore, RIM has extended the free BlackBerry PlayBook promotion until March 2nd so we should be seeing even more developers hopping on board.
