One awesome feature that RIM released for the BlackBerry smartphones is BlackBerry Protect; which offers a lot of features for keeping your BlackBerry and data safe. It is now a feature that comes preloaded on all of the newer BlackBerry smartphones. So what happens when you are out and about, and your BlackBerry smartphone goes missing? What happens when you run into a situation where you have to manage your BlackBerry Protect account, and you don’t have a laptop or desktop available?

Well the guys from SCrApps came up with a FREE launcher for BlackBerry Protect. It takes you to the BlackBerry Protect site, and gives you all the same abilities you would have on your laptop or computer but instead on your tablet. Now you have access to managing your account, archiving backups/devices, remote wipe, or sound an alarm if your BlackBerry goes missing. Of course you would have to have BlackBerry Protect installed and running on your device for this to work.

So if you haven’t already picked up BlackBerry Protect you can pick it up here. Then point your PlayBook to the link below for the BlackBerry Protect Launcher.
