It looks like we finally get some news on the BlackBerry 10 launch so far in Canada and the UK.  Based on the quote provided, it seems that BlackBerry is doing really well with the new launch.  However, we have yet to see actual numbers, other than it being 50% better than any other launch day they have had in Canada.  Hit the jump for the full official statement from BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins:

Waterloo, ON – BlackBerry® (NASDAQ: BBRY; TSX: BB) today issued the following statement:

“In Canada, yesterday was the best day ever for the first day of a launch of a new BlackBerry smartphone. In fact, it was more than 50% better than any other launch day in our history in Canada,” said Thorsten Heins, President & CEO of BlackBerry. “In the UK, we have seen close to three times our best performance ever for the first week of sales for a BlackBerry smartphone.”
