The BlackBerry Curve 9220 made its first debut last week in India officially.  While no other countries picked up the device yet, it looks like Indonesia is up next.  RIM announced today that the Curve 9220 will be available in the Indonesia region.  The device is schedule to be available tomorrow April 25th.  Continue reading for the full press release from RIM.

Happy Friday to everyone!  A lot of Berry users are going to be quite happy with these leaks.  It looks like OS 7.1.0.402 has leaked out for the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930, Torch 9850/9860 and 9810, and the Curve 9370.  It’s not so often that we see CDMA and GSM devices get the same OS love, but we see it happening here.  Click the links below to download the OS for your device.

It looks like a new OS update for the BlackBerry PlayBook is now available.  This one is OS 2.0.1.358 – not as long as the previous versions were.  This is the first update we receive since the initial launch of OS 2.0.  Check out the change log below:

  • Browser enhancements to address performance with some websites
  • Improvements to support Android apps
  • Optimizations to Video Chat, PIM and BlackBerry Bridge applications
  • And much more!
You should be prompted to update, but you can always manually fetch for it by going to Settings then Software Update.  Read more at Inside BlackBerry on the new update. Enjoy the new OS!

A few weeks ago we let you know about Sketch W Friends, a cross platform game similar to Draw Something and just as fun.  It looks like the game has now updated to version 2.0, adding a bunch of goodies including a new user interface and more.

  • Brand New UI
  • Friends & Family: Private Rooms where you can invite your Facebook friends to play with, with a maximum limit of 8 people per room. This feature is available only for paid users (invite up to 8 friends & family)
  • Artistry: A special drawing zone where you can draw at length and share your sketches on Facebook and Twitter
  •  Me vs Bot: A unique gaming zone where you can brush up your gaming skills against a robot
  • Moderation System: Users will now be allowed to ban other players only when they unlock the Moderator or the Super Moderator levels. These are special privileges awarded to fair players based on several parameters
  • Clues for guessing the word
  • Color Palette: An all new color palette with a whole range of colors including the color brown

Google, RIM, Brad Feld, Robert Scoble and others join Alliance in commitment to serve developers, drive industry innovation and growth 

 Washington, D.C., (April 2, 2012) – Many of the top names in application development, app integration and digital media have joined theApplication Developers Alliance and are among its founding board of directors. The board will convene for the first time April 24 in San Francisco.

The Apps Alliance Board will be responsible for guiding the organization, formally launched Jan. 3, 2012, to deliver services to developers and drive innovation and growth within the development industry. Since its formation three months ago, Apps Alliance membership has already grown to more than 4,500 individual developers and 45 corporate members and service sponsors.
