Foursquare for BlackBerry just received an update today to version 3.9 today adding new features including NFC support!  It’s definitely nice to see applications pick up on NFC, especially since we couldn’t use the feature from launch.  With NFC, you can share venues and tips with other users.  Also, the update includes integration with the Messages list, so you won’t need to go into the application each time for friend updates.  The update is available at BlackBerry App World.  Click the link below to download or to check out more info on Foursquare.

The unannounced BlackBerry Curve 9320 just got some leaked images out.  These aren’t blurry or anything and actually appear to be press images according to The Verge.  As you already know, the Curve series is the lower end basic line, but this one is quite attractive.  The specs are not confirmed yet, but we assume it won’t be touchscreen and will sport NFC capability as well.  As BlackBerry World is right around the corner, maybe we’ll be seeing the device debut on stage – or maybe RIM should focus on BlackBerry 10 this time around?

Here’s a comical BlackBerry commercial- which we’re really not used to seeing unless it’s making fun of the brand.  Usually we see use cases from people in all lines of business or even personal.  This one goes another level with Streeter Seidell and Christina Milan testing out the BlackBerry Bold 9900 keyboard under an extremely windy environment (basically a big fan blowing in their direction).  I

Temple Run has been a popular iOS game this year which recently extended out to Android OS as well.  It doesn’t seem like the game is set to hit BlackBerry smartphones, so just as we’ve seen in the past, a clone of the game has hit BlackBerry App World.  This one’s called Tomb Escape and the game play is very identical to that of Temple Run.  The game is compatible with touchscreen compatible BlackBerry 7 devices which includes the Bold 9900/9930, Torch 9810 and Porsche P’9981.  Doesn’t look like there’s any Torch 9850/9860 love though.  Click the link below to download Tomb Escape free today.

There’s a few remote desktop applications available for the BlackBerry PlayBook and now we see another one added to the list.  Remote Desktop for BlackBerry PlayBook by SolverLabs is unique in the sense that no third party software to download on the computer you want to remote into is required.  There has been another remote desktop app for the PlayBook which provided the same feature a couple months ago as well.  You will be able to remote in using the IP address of the machine which excludes Home editions of Windows.  In any case, Remote Desktop for BlackBerry PlayBook is $4.99 to buy at BlackBerry App World.
