I know exactly what you’re thinking. Another alarm clock application? This one’s pretty cool though, I promise. When I’m up running around like a chicken, it means the third alarm has gone off and I will make it to work on time, just about. Not only that it also boasts a world clock, timer and a location alarm currently in beta. You can set up many world clocks with different locations, this is good as I know what time to BBM my American friends to wake or just chat. Of course without saying, it can always be good to have a few timers ready for when people tell you “give me 5 minutes” or “your pizza delivered in 45 minutes or its free!” (you get straight off the phone and press start on that timer)

I spent a few hours playing around with piece, and I am full of a lot of mixed thoughts on it up until now. WiFi File Transfer for BlackBerry allows the transfer of files from a PC or Mac directly to your BlackBerry over Wifi using your browser. No need for Desktop Manager, Media Manager, USB drivers or any other 3rd party applications: Just a WiFi BlackBerry, PC/Mac with browser and a WiFi network.
Now lets start by looking at the program that everyone is raving about. I think on reading the blurb about the software that It looks great. So whats the problem? It says it works on the 9700! So why do I keep getting “problem loading page” with “The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments” So I do, then after a while with no luck I change the port to random in the settings, this will work I think! what do I get? “problem loading page” It does not want to connect, well not for me! so in my rage I calmly and collectively load it onto my 9000.

As you all know SmrtGuard has launched its free services not too long ago, and we never really touched up on their application as a whole yet. In this review, Ryan, our new contributing author has touched base on the SmrtGuard, giving us all its ins and outs.
Ok let’s start off by saying BlackBerry is pretty good at security if you were to lose your BlackBerry if you had set it up with a password. So why would you need a guardian? Well a guardian is more than just locking your phone to stop people accessing it. This application runs a free and a pro version, for me the free is great but for some pro (at a cost) is what the doctor ordered. So I’m going to start with the pro as its not everyone’s cup of tea, the pro hits you with remote backup and restore of your data, now we can all backup data at a pc but to be 100% backed up all the time this may be for you.
