Remember the inPulse Smartwatch? It was the first watch which was supported on BlackBerry exclusively, bringing you notifications from SMS to email, calendar reminders and BBM notifications. Later on it released with Android support and the makers opened their API for developers to create really cool applications for it. Years later, we see the same makers come up with the Pebble smartwatch which was exclusively for Android and iOS – up until now! CrackBerry was able to interview one of the staff members of Pebble, which they demoed the Pebble smartwatch with a BlackBerry Dev C device. It is coming soon with official support with no specific timeframe set just yet. The Pebble runs for $149.99 on their website for preorders. The display is much nicer than the inPulse as it sports a e-paper display with longer lasting battery life and a better user interface. Any BB10 users up for this one?
The BlackBerry Z10 has been out for a couple of months now and I have been seeing lots of awesome accessories coming out for the Z10. One company in particular has caught my eye, and that is a company called dbrand. I was not to familiar with the company until recently. Dbrand Inc. offers skins that have been meticulously measured to precision for the best fit for your device. I doubt you could seriously find another brand that could come up with a better fit for your device. These skins come in true-textured finishes including leather, carbon fiber, and brushed titanium. It is backed by quality 3M vinyl which means there is never any adhesive residue left on your device; and the best part is if you have to remove the skin for any reason it can be adhered again to your device. As you may have heard, Sena Cases makes one of the most elegant cases for smartphones and tablets. One of the really popular ones is the UltraSlim, which is pretty much a thin leather sleeve for your device. Most sleeve cases bulk up your pocket, but Sena Cases makes a really slim sleeve where you won’t notice anything but the luxury of the case. This one here is for the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930, but keep in mind other models are supported. Features include:
- Light zero bulk protective layer
- Soft velvet lining with stitching along opening
- Thinnest pouch Sena offers
- Energy-saving sleep function activator
Since it is genuine leather, expect to dish out $29.99 for this bad boy. Surely you can go with a plastic case, but these are for different end users going for the elegant look with some protection. Click the link below for more images and info on the case.

Earlier this month RIM announced the BlackBerry Mini Keyboard for the BlackBerry PlayBook. You can pre-order yours for $119.99 from Shop BlackBerry. We got to see a teaser video which gave an overview of it with the Citrix Receiver application. Now we see a more hands on demonstration as RIM posted up a new video on the BlackBerry YouTube channel. Will you be ordering one for your PlayBook?

Waterloo, ON – Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM) today introduced the BlackBerry® Mini Keyboard™, a new accessory for the BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet.
The BlackBerry Mini Keyboard is ultra portable and comes complete with a stylish convertible case that doubles as a stand for the tablet. In addition to a full QWERTY keyboard, it offers an integrated touchpad that allows users to navigate and control the BlackBerry PlayBook as easily as using the touch screen on the tablet itself. When the keyboard is active, the PlayBook tablet’s virtual keyboard remains hidden, freeing up 100% of the display for the task at hand.
The BlackBerry PlayBook Bluetooth Keyboard Case is supposed to release sometime this year, hopefully sooner than later. However, The Source is already accepting pre-order for the case. At this time, you can pre-order it for as low as $99, which was the expected ballpark price. The website states that after April 11th, the price will go up to $119.99 so perhaps that’s the suggested retail price.
For those who haven’t been following up with this super cool accessory, it’s a case for the BlackBerry PlayBook which opens up as you see in the picture but includes a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. It has not been officially announced by RIM just yet, but again the launch should be “soon.”
If you’re paranoid about limited supply upon launch, head over to The Source and place your pre-orders!
