Late last night I noticed that the Case-Mate Barely There covers have been added to the PocketBerry Store.  We’ve been having fun with this case for a little over a month now and are definitely fans of it.  The Barely There cover is given the best name only because it seems as though it is “barely there” when applied to your BlackBerry.  We’ll be releasing a quick video review soon showing you all its ins and outs.  On a quick note, the Barely There by Case-Mate snaps easily on the back on the BlackBerry and sides, not changing your BlackBerry experience in any way.  It also comes with a protective screen cover to prevent scratches and other tragic things from happening.  The Barely There series goes for only $17.95 at the PocketBerry Store.

No, it’s not a new innovative product from BlackBerry before you get all excited.  But do stay on the edge of your seats because this deal is quite a steal.  For $54.95 (sounds high, but relax) you’ll be getting:

BlackBerry Power Station (MSRP $99.95)

  • The BlackBerry Power Station holds your smartphone firmly in place while providing full access to the keyboard and side buttons. Call home or dial into a conference call using the speakerphone functionality of your BlackBerry, while also charging your Blackberry HS-655 Bluetooth Headset at the same time.

BlackBerry D-X1 Standard Battery2. BlackBerry HS-655+ Bluetooth Headset (MSRP $119.95)

  • The BlackBerry HS-655+ Bluetooth Headset fuses cutting-edge technology with a sleek, ultra-light design to deliver a mobile experience unlike any other. With Digital Signal Processing (DSP) – the latest in audio technology – the BlackBerry HS-655+ reduces noise levels to provide enhanced sound for clear conversations.

This bundle package is available at the PocketBerry Store for only $54.95 as it has just arrived as a new item.

Now here’s a BlackBerry case you don’t see everyday.  Samsung has recently partnered with Harmann to create leather cases for mobile phones.  Here’s an example of one for BlackBerry. This horizontal case is made from leather that yields superior abrasion resistance and incredible durability.  As it is still new to the PocketBerry Store, there aren’t any reviews on it yet. Personally, I’m waiting for a black one to release but if any of you out there are interested in grabbing one, feel free to check them out.  They go for a not so cheap price of $27.95, so shop wisely.

Features:

  • Non-removable Belt Clip
  • Stylishly tailored
  • Horizontal slip on leather pouch
  • Side loading for easy access
  • Genuine leather
  • Authentic OEM Pouch by Samsung
  • Does NOT support sleeper function

The Samsung Hartmann cases are available for the: 8300 (Curve), 8310 (Curve), 8320 (Curve), 8330 (Curve), 8900 (Curve), 9630/9650 (Tour), 9700 (Bold)

Crazy but true story. Ehab (the “Digital Media Consultant” aka video maker and picture taker) and Kal, one of the daily PB editors were at a local Applebee’s where Ehab dropped his BlackBerry Storm 9530 face down in a dish of blue cheese.  “I wish it was ranch,” said Ehab as he hates blue cheese and was actually waiting for ranch dressing to go with his boneless buffalo wings.  Luckily, he had an OtterBox Defender covering his Storm which saved his life, or the Storm’s life rather. The Storm 9530 OtterBox comes stock with a clear screen cover that is attached to the front faceplate, preventing the blue cheese dip from making its way into the device.  Moral of the story? Get an OtterBox!

Case-Mate’s latest product which goes by the name of “Fuel” is definitely one of the most clever accessories out there.  Forget about all the dilemmas you’ve been in where your BlackBerry isn’t charged and you really need it to be.  Sure there are other accessories such as the ZAGGSparq to take around and charge your BlackBerry with no strings attached but how about a holster with a built in charger giving you extended battery?  We just got the tip from Case-Mate that their Fuel case has been extended to the BlackBerry Bold 9700, satisfying many Berry users like you.  Hit the jump for some quick stats on the Fuel case by Case-Mate.

I gave Jawbone a shot a few years ago, but hated its size and wasn’t so amazed by quality.  As time went by, Jawbone released several models of Bluetooth headsets and I honestly didn’t give them a chance up until now.  A friend of mine just picked up a Jawbone ICON, and as I never heard of it, I had to try it out.  From what I read about it, this fancy headset was developed originally for use in tanks and helicopters.  When you know something’s created for a far higher industry in a rugged situation, it’s always amazing for the average consumer.  There’s a new feature called “NoiseAssassin” which indeed eliminates background noise when talking on the phone.

Seeing spare parts is one thing, but now we’re getting standard accessories for devices that aren’t even officially out.  The BlackBerry pre-release owners community is getting really spoiled and catered here by sites such as TrueSupplier who have put out a bunch of spare parts for all these devices that have only been leaked to us.  We just showed you keyboards for the Tour 2 9650 and have previously displayed the Pearl 9100 keypads for sale also. So now if you own a BlackBerry Pearl 9100, you can get yourself a silicon cover case to protect it from scratches.  What’s really funny about the picture is that the dummy Pearl 9100 looks quite accurate to what it really looks like all except the screen preview.  Anyone recognize it? Yes, that’s the Dimension Zen theme from OS 4.x! In my opinion, it’s very wise to get one as you are not under warranty if you have a pre-release obviously, so protect your Pearl 9100 today with a silcion cover from TrueSupplier for only $5.99.

No it’s not Colorware.  Over a week ago, we let you know about TrueSupplier which offered different colored trackpads for BlackBerry.  We got a tip fro Janet that they have just added housing for the BlackBerry Bold 9700 in silver chrome.  This isn’t like the $20,000 Case-Mate cover for the BlackBerry Curve 83xx or the $240,000 cover for the 8900 we saw awhile back, and is actually quite affordable at only $50.99 with the full housing, buttons, and keyboard. Free shipping too might I add.

I’ve been using the Commuter series case for the BlackBerry Bold 9700 for a few weeks now and have been very satisfied with it.  As the Bold 9700 is a smaller and slimmer device, there’s room to add more “junk” to it as it can make it more comfortable to hold.  But the Defender doesn’t just add extra layers to your BlackBerry for cosmetic appeal.  Instead, maximum protection is provided through this industrious case.  So over the weekend I spent some quality time with the OtterBox Defender for the Bold 9700, taking it everywhere I went.  What an interesting experience it’s been..
