For a while the BlackBerry Bold 9700 was highly popular among celebs, but the Torch has been popping up quite a bit nowadays.  Here we see Conan holding up the Torch, and actually using it on his show from two nights ago. The BlackBerry social media team posted an awesome link on their Facebook fan page for the full video showing him tweeting live from a BlackBerry Torch 9800.  Gotta love Conan! It’s not that serious, but I went out last night to finally see Due Date starring Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis.  I noticed that Robert Downey Jr. took out his BlackBerry one too many times in the movie.  It wasn’t no Torch or Style – but a BlackBerry Bold 9000!  It’s not that retro of a device, and it’s definitely counted as one of my favorite BlackBerry devices.

The BlackBerry Bold 9000 was similar in size to the BlackBerry 8800 series and was so comfortable to hold and use.  The huge display screen, large keys, and full leather back really made the phone awesome.  I just wish RIM would take the Bold family back in that direction instead of shrinking them!

As a fan of the UFC, I follow Dana White on Twitter to get the latest updates on upcoming fights and highlight videos.  For those unaware, Dana White is currently the president of the UFC.  So I wondered which BlackBerry he was using, and finally got to see it today as Celebrity BlackBerry Sightings got their hands on a picture with Dana White flaring the BlackBerry Bold 9700.  Seen in the picture on the Bold 9700 is the stock Twitter application.  Would of been cool to see some UberTwitter or SocialScope love perhaps.

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is still new and upcoming since AT&T launched it last month.  Of course celebrities got their hands on it at BlackBerry launch events.  As you all know, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 became the most popular device to use among celebrities for a while.  Before that, it was the Curve 8900 and Bold 9000.  So now that the Torch is in town, do you think celebrities are all starting to migrate to it or will they stick to their savvy Bold 9700′s which are strictly QWERTY with no touch screen.

We intended to post about this earlier when the trailer aired on television, but it looks like BlackBerry has it on their YouTube channel in an interview.  In this video you’ll see the director and Ryan Reynolds who is essentially buried alive in a coffin with only a BlackBerry and flashlight speak about the movie, not touching up on the BlackBerry aspect really, but more of what the movie is about.

Just yesterday we showed you the red carpet launch party for the BlackBerry Torch 9800 and what celebrities had to say about the device.  What we didn’t see was Paris Hilton who has been known for using a BlackBerry for quite some time now.  She’s been spotted using a white BlackBerry Bold 9000 frequently, but the photos could be old as she most likely went for a Bold 9700 after (perhaps in white as well).  Any way, here she poses by what looks like to be a show case for her shoes collection sporting her new BlackBerry Torch 9800.  This brings me back to my question yesterday as to whether or not the Torch 9800 will take place of the Bold 9700 in the celebrity world.  It’s too early and we haven’t seen enough paparazzi shots with the Torch yet, but the Bold 9700 seems to be the preferred device in Hollywood.

Here’s an awesome video I spotted over at the BlackBerry YouTube channel showing highlights from the BlackBerry Torch Red Carpet Launch party featuring celebrities from all over including 90210, Twilight Saga, Entourage, and more.  Drake even makes an appearance and once again preaches on the fact that he uses his BlackBerry every single day to write music.  So now I’m guessing celebrities will be leaving their Bold 9700 devices for the Torch 9800, or perhaps the smaller QWERTY device is preferred?  Either way this video is entertaining to watch so enjoy it!

It’s surprising to see how well spoken Jermaine Dupree is about the BlackBerry Torch 9800.  My guess would of been that he got hired by RIM to do this, but this doesn’t seem to be the case at all, and he just tells it how it is.  The Torch only gets its spotlight in the beginning but feel free to watch the rest.

This was a funny picture I thought you guys would get a kick out of.  Lady Gaga was obviously just fixing her bathing suit but ended showing a little too much on camera.  In her right hand is a BlackBerry, not sure the exact model but it does look like a Bold 9700 to me.

It looks like Queen Elizabeth visited the RIM headquarters in Waterloo yesterday, as we did hear rumors this was going to go on late last week.  The tour was less than an hour according to BerryReview, and RIM’s CTO said “the Royal family uses BlackBerrys.”  So at the end of the tour, which we see in the image above, Mike Lazaridis gives the queen a white BlackBerry Bold 9700, which as most of you know by now is my device of choice at the moment.
