The original BlackBerry Music Gateway has been out for quite a few years now, but definitely still serves its purpose well in 2012.  Now it looks like RIM has announced a brand new BlackBerry Music Gateway which received a face lift along with some new goodies.  Features include:

We are on the scene for BlackBerry World 2012 this week covering news live from the event as it happens.  So far we’re in for the surprise just like all of you, but hopefully looking to see some exciting announcements from RIM this year.  BlackBerry 10 JAM is also taking place, where developers get to link up and check out the BlackBerry 10 operating system hands on.  Stay tuned this week for all updates from the event!

RIM announced their new BlackBerry Beta Zone user interface along with the separation of business and consumer beta programs available.  The design is much easier to use than it was before as everything is better structured.  Even the mobile site got a face lift where it becomes easier to make selections and navigate to specific programs you’d like to participate in.  In addition, a news feed has been added which provides the latest Beta Zone news and lets you comment on each post.  Head over to BlackBerry Beta Zone and check out all the new changes.

The BlackBerry Curve 9220 made its first debut last week in India officially.  While no other countries picked up the device yet, it looks like Indonesia is up next.  RIM announced today that the Curve 9220 will be available in the Indonesia region.  The device is schedule to be available tomorrow April 25th.  Continue reading for the full press release from RIM.

On April 19, 2011 the BlackBerry PlayBook had officially launched in the U.SA., and in Canada. I remember that day as I rushed to my local Staples store and purchased my 16gb PlayBook for $499. With the bridge not being fully functional and working for AT&T users, no Facebook app, a smaller App World selection, and a first look at QNX at work I was very excited. Many other PlayBook users were excited but entwined were those who were less than impressed and of course the “expert analyst” who did nothing but bring negative press towards the PlayBook, and RIM. The launch of the PlayBook wasn’t all fun and games, and everything wasn’t perfect. While many features that were promised were pushed back, the PlayBook still managed to be an amazing piece of equipment; especially while the pieces of the puzzle were put together.
