So what is the Tour 2 9650 exactly? From what we all understand so far, it’s the same as the Tour 9630, but rocks a trackpad, faster processor, true 3G, and a WiFi adapter. Physically the device looks the same as the older Tour in its size, shape, and style. The internal specs have been souped up with some extra juice. So far sources say that the device is expected to launch sometime in the beginning of 2010. The folks over at BGR have gotten their hands on a 9650 and have taken some great high definition images which are far better than all the sloppy leaked photos we’ve seen here and there. We got some of our favorites picked out below, but you can always head over to the gallery by clicking here.

Finally some more footage of the new BlackBerry Pearl 9100. We had small teasers here and there along with a short video with some ins and outs on the device, but of course we are not yet satisfied. Here’s some nice comparison photos to flick through really quck just to give you a better idea of the device’s size and overall build versus the older 8100 model.

As we had analyzed in the teaser video from Salomondrin earlier last week, the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 and Storm 2 9550/9520 share the same back. If you closely, the camera placement is exactly the same with the flash on the right and camera lens on the left. The back cover itself is exactly the same on both devices, with even the same functionality in opening. The chrome bezel that goes around exists in both of these Berries. So what’s RIM up to? Disregarding the BlackBerry Bold 9700 for a second, it looks like RIM is making their devices more uniform so that next time you see someone typing away on a QWERTY device or making a phone call, you’ll know it’s a BlackBerry immediately by its design. We’re not completely disregarding the Bold 9700 only because it does have the same chrome bezel design that wraps around the back and sides.

Just to clear up some rumors floating around about this new Tour coming out sometime in 2010, it is not the exact same replica as the Bold 9700. We’ve received loads of emails and comments asking about the new Tour and its release along with specs, so here’s some quick facts from our buddy Salomondrin who is fortunate enough to have the device at hand currently.

For the next few days, we’re going to be putting up posts here and there on the BlackBerry Pearl Flip as we felt it doesn’t (nor did it ever) receive enough coverage or appreciation as it should. As we just took it out of the box this morning, we can all acknowledge that the big screen is definitely a beauty. It’s not a high tech hi-def one like the Bold 9700, or compare to it in any way, but for its decently low price, it’s a great bang for your buck. Reading through emails and messages works a charm as the screen is really long so you can view more at a time without having to scroll down.

The folks over at CB got their hands on the BlackBerry Curve 8530 for Verizon Wireless. As we see in the screenshot, OS 5.0 is installed on the device, but we are all uncertain if the device will come with it loaded on there or is just there now as a prototype. What was really interesting to see is that the box labeled Curve 2, rather than 8530. People are certain that this is just an internal code name for it, but I don’t see it being unrealistic as the all new Storm 9550 is being titled the Storm2. So where’s the big excitement and downfall in this device? You’ll be getting WiFi built in, but no camera flash. There are many out there who really don’t care about the camera flash, while other see it as the missing link. As far as the WiFi goes, we have the BlackBerry Storm 2 9550 coming with it equipped, as well as the next BlackBerry Tour which will sacrifice its trackball for the new trackpad, and grow some WiFi modules.

It’s been an exciting morning with all the BlackBerry Storm2 news releasing, especially that RIM has officially announced it on their site. Such events call for the device to officially launch from the carriers as we have already suspected that before RIM did their introduction to the BlackBerry Storm2. So here we have a diagram as to all the whereabouts of buttons and shortcut keys are located. An interesting new concept we saw here was that the Power button has been shifted up to the Lock button which can cause some confusion at first but shouldn’t be any real big issue.. By looking at it, we can assume that a soft, one click press of the button will lock the device and a longer extended press will shut the device off. The Mute button is opposite to it staying up top as well, being the most convenient tool when on the phone.

Sprint has souped up their inventory on BlackBerry Curves instead of shelving them like other carriers will pretty soon. It looks like Sprint is far from doing it as they are now offering the BlackBerry Curve 8330 in an “inferno” color as pictured above. Purchasing the device with a plan is only $149.99 with a $100 mail-in rebate, making the phone only $49.99. Check out more details over at Sprint’s website.

The folks over at BlackBerry Cool have went ahead and reviewed the new BlackBerry Gemini 8520 which is launching via T-Mobile. This is the first device to be trackball-less and rockin’ the all new “trackpad” or sensor pad as I like to call it from time to time. It looks like “Curve” is engraved on its upper back by the camera, giving the device its own branding. But wait there’s more..

We’ve all seen the BlackBerry Tour 9630 with many screen shots and previews as to what it can do but we felt there was a need to physically go to the store and take more up close photos of the device and see how the Tour moves along over at Verizon Wireless. We went ahead and took some photos of the device from every angle we could, even got hooked up with some free promotion stuff such as Verizon necklaces with attached BlackBerry Tours on them (made out of paper) reading “BlackBerry Tour Is Here.” Check out all the photos and let us know how you like it. Who went ahead and got the BlackBerry Tour 9630 today? Check out all the images we took today below. All the images are clickable so be sure to see them in full size. Enjoy the show.
